How do I get my hair curly overnight?

I have thick/naturally curly hair. Does anyone know any way I can get it curly overnight, like after I get out of the shower? I have tried putting it up in braids but the curl usually doesn't stay through the next day. What is the best way to sleep on my hair to get it curly for the next day?

rollers are uncomfterble id have shower wait till ya hairs 80% dry then put a tiny bit of baby oil in ya palms rub threw hair no much to make it oily on;y a lil bit ti get the wet look. then add mousse, bit a hairspray then do 2 tight braids then spray with hairspray. go to bed wen ya wake up un do them carefully useing a wide tooth comb carefully comb it to seperate it then scrunch with mouse then spray wiv perfume to make ya hair smellin gorgeous.

I would recommend that you talk to your hairdresser as its important to get the correct straighteners for your hair type - for curly hair you would need some with a high temp but ones that will not damage your hair and dry it out. Your hairdresser will also know which ones on the market are long lasting and good quality. You could also ask them about which products you could use best to protect your hair whilst straightening.

well, the plus side to having curly hair versus straight hair is that you can use products and a straightening iron to make it straight if you so desire. other people, like myself, have straight hair and would like to go curly once n awhile, but my hair DOSENT curl. so i'm outta luck and will forever be straight.....

You are so fortunate to have those beautiful curly locks, my niece has them and they always look so soft and feminine, I think that she uses Rave, but her hair smells so good. Me, my hair is so flat and thin (like baby hair), it just looks awful, I comb it and ten minutes later it looks like I never combed it. It's so fine that it will not hold a perm, and it breaks very easy. The best that I can do is tie it up and hope it's not a windy day. See how fortunate you are. No. Curly hair looks much nicer without bangs. You can try layers instead, which give curly hair body and movement. Be sure to keep layers relatively long, because layers that are too short can make curls stick up and out. Also, don't straighten your hair all the time. Show off your curls instead.

That looks like she used spiral rollers for her hair. You can get them at a beauty supply store.They look like long rods and you just take sections of your hair when it's wet and wrap your hair in them and then twist then into a "U" shape. Also if you use a curling iron, take a small ection of your hair and twist it, then wrap it around the curling iron. That will give your curls a spiral look to.

ok my all-time favorite way to curl my hair is to put it all in little braids. Then after a day or so, take all of them off and its looks awsome! Be sure to add a little someting to make it look shiny. Another way is to use a curling iron of course. Go to a salon and they will show you how because it is too hard to say in words. ok? and of course the old-fahion way: the rollers: ya take some of your hair and you wrap it around the roller. Yes, use curling irons. They do take a lot of time. All you do is wrap your hair around it and wait about 30 seconds. Then you spray hairspray to make it hold. The negatives: Takes a long time. Hair is all hard and sticky from all the required hairspray. It damages your hair.

Perms are even worse. I got two of them, to get curly hair, and now my hair is damaged. Waiting for it to grow out, and am using deep conditioning treatments. I deeply regret it.

I used to have that problem then I got a little hair cut... they used a cleansing shampoo and left that on for a little bit (use that only once a week) then I invested in the TIGI line of "curls rock" and I use a defuser now when I blow dry my hair ( and I crunch it while drying it...I flip my hair over)...it's like night and day!
