Hair Help Needed!!! Make hair less curly!?

I have naturally curly hair, like this -

But I would prefer my hair to be less curly, more like tousled beach waves.

Any idea how to acheive this???

my hairs like that too! is it like that even after being brushed? if i brush my hair out in the morning its wavy. try that. or spray it with hairspray then brush it, holding it straight til the spray dries
