What hair cut/dye(s) would look good in curly hair (but straighten at times)(details)?

I want to completely redo my hair, right now it's longish, curly, and dark brown (shakira curly) I want to redye my hair (any color doesn't matter as crazy as it is as long as it's creative and attractive) and I want a cut to match (maybe I'll leave the same if dye(s) looks good with it or do something that will look good both curly and straight (more curly then anything))

Thanks for opinions

What hair cut/dye(s) would look good in curly hair (but straighten at times)(details)?

I think you should use products from Sally's! They have professional products that are less damaging to your hair. Ask the people that work there which ones to get and they will help you :)

I think you shouldn't cut your hair, since it's naturally curly, I think it looks better long! 閳?br>Curly Hair!!!! 10 points if you get good answer!!?

if you want strait hair then i suggest a flat iren. (btw your hair is cute)

Curly Hair!!!! 10 points if you get good answer!!?

hows about the top red and the ends blue or... all of it brown with a few blonde streaks

Curly Hair!!!! 10 points if you get good answer!!?

I think a strong red with blond ends would be cool!

Curly Hair!!!! 10 points if you get good answer!!?

I think you would look good with blonde highlights.

It looks fine how it is...dont cut it.

Curly Hair!!!! 10 points if you get good answer!!?

I have a client that has curlier hair than you and ever since they made Feria she started coloring her own hair. I notice they have nice shades of reds. Red fades fast even if you get it done professionally so make sure you use shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair and cooler water.

Curly Hair!!!! 10 points if you get good answer!!?

dont cut your hair but I love highlights in culry hair. I suggest you get highlights done by a pro because it is not easy to do it on your own.

Frizzy Curly hair...?

But I have Frizzy curly hair, so (before I knew it was bad for my hair) I started straightening it and blow drying it. Now my hairs really damaged so it's even frizzier. is there any cream/spray that REALLY cuts down on friz and possibly even tames the curls a bit?

Frizzy Curly hair...?

you need to use lots of conditioner and do deep treatments weekly to help lessen the damage.

if your ends are fried you should get a trim.

find styling products that work with your hair so you can wear it naturally curly.

stay away from products with alcohol in because it is drying (specifically sd alcohol).

i am really liking garnier fructis sleek and shine shampoo and conditioner right now. don't rinse all of the condish out... and you can use the conditioning leave in cream (same brand).

Visit http://www.naturallycurly.com they have excellent forums for lots of different curl types. good luck!

Frizzy Curly hair...?

well, first off all, i wouldnt take advice about your hair from people you dont know on the internet. it could damage it. i would suggest going to your hairdresser and asking him/her. im pretty sure there is something that works, but again, ask your hairdresser. good luck!

Frizzy Curly hair...?

i'm useing this stuff call sun silk and it works for me so that should wrok for you. k, i hope that helps you out a lot.

Frizzy Curly hair...?

You need some protection before you start straightening your hair. Use creams from lorea'l designed for intense heat. Also for frizz, use dove and john frida products.

Frizzy Curly hair...?

try the green sunsilk, anti frizz or try the Gardiner Fructis curl construct mouse:)

Curly hair styles/cuts?

I have really curly hair that never does what I want it to. Any suggestions on cute hairstyles or cuts I can do to help with this problem? I am getting it cut tomorrow...I just dont know what I want yet.

BTW my hair is a little longer then shoulder length when it is dry.

Curly hair styles/cuts?

Well, You can go to any pearler to straight your hair. Or contact to a beautician.

Curly hair styles/cuts?

long layers work...also curly sexy hair creme work great it keep ur curl define, and prevents frizzing...u can put in and let it air dry oooor...i recommend that u use the curly sexy hair creme, and put in BedHeads uptight and use a difuser (spray uptight as much as u want throughout) and blowdry hair on low and dry/scrunch it about 70% of the way done throw in some hairspray and ur good to go. ur hair will NOT be crunchy, it will look great if done right

Curly hair styles/cuts?

I have long, naturally curly hair too. And, I know how important it is to find a stylist who knows how to cut curly hair. I recommend that you find a DevaCurl salon to find someone who is trained in that method. My stylist is a DevaCurl stylist who follows that method -- cutting it dry -- because curls shrink once they're dry. So, cutting it wet, like most hairstylists are used to doing because they mainly cut straight hair, is actually not the best thing for curly hair. Check out: http://www.devaconcepts.com/ and click on the "Find a Salon" link to find one in your area. Also, do a google image search for "curly hairstyles" and you might find some that you like. Print out the picture and take it with you to the salon. Any good hairstylist who's worth a grain of salt will give you an honest consultation about what you should and shouldn't do regarding your curly hairstyle taking into consideration your face shape, hair condition and your lifestyle.

Hair straighteners for EXTREMELEY curly hair?

my hair is super-curly!! it takes me forever to straighten my hair every day! the hair straightener i use now is like only 30$. my mom said shed buy me a more expensive one if it will work better than the cheeper ones. so is there a brand anyone suggests that will work good thats i dont know... it the "more expensive" category... mabey 50-150$?

Hair straighteners for EXTREMELEY curly hair?

I have been exactly where you are at right now. Heat is extremely important. Chi is a really highly recommended by my beautician. Also the size of the surface is important, don't think that bigger is better. With the smaller ceramic surface you can get closer to your scalp and also it makes it easier to curl the ends under or out. You can do differnt styles with just one tool. no need for a curling iron to do those cute flips.

Hair straighteners for EXTREMELEY curly hair?

Chi is the best .... about 129.00

Mine personally is hot tools. It was 49.00 at Sallys and it gets up to like 400 degrees.

Hair straighteners for EXTREMELEY curly hair?

Cheap?

Like 25 dollars.

Wet2Straight.

On 30.(heat setting)

Hair straighteners for EXTREMELEY curly hair?

I bought my wife a brand called A.C.S off the internet (ebay)....she also has really curly hair and she hasnt complained once about it!....check to see if they have any.....you might really like it

Hair straighteners for EXTREMELEY curly hair?

the expensive one isnt that more expensive. try going to a salon and get a japanese hair perm. it'll get ur hair straight and silky. it last for about less than a year or so.

Hair straighteners for EXTREMELEY curly hair?

from what i know, since i have very curly and poofy hair, they really dont work that much better, if at all. the best thing to do is if you want to straighten your hair, use a straightener with a larger surface area on the plates so you can straighten more hair at once. i would reccommend the remington wet2straight in the wider size. otherwise, to minimize damage you could try a moisturizing shampoo to keep your hair from getting split ends or frizzy. if that doesnt speed it up try using shampoos to help straighten hair. What i do it pull my hair back and tie it up very tight and let it air dry all night. that ways the roots up till the hair tie is very straight and i only have the ends to do. hope that helps!

Hair straighteners for EXTREMELEY curly hair?

same way here hairl is poofy/curly/wavy and little bit longer than my shoulders and i heard CHI is a good on and DONT GET CONAIR! DOES ABSOULETLY NOTHING!!!!!!!! see my quiestion for ideas! or you can IM me!

Hair straighteners for EXTREMELEY curly hair?

Revelon striaghtner its white u can find it at Wal-Mart for under $20

Hair straighteners for EXTREMELEY curly hair?

My hair is so thick and I bought this straightener

It is AWESOME

Its the Reminton T|Studio collection

and its like 47$ and goes up to 200 degrees

BUY IT

you wont regret it

Hair straighteners for EXTREMELEY curly hair?

I highly recomend the Vidal Sassoon Ceramic, wide pannel. I've had curly hair my whole life, and i've gone through quite a few straighteners. My friends have used expensive salon straighteners, to cheap 35$ straighteners, they all work about the same on my hair. The good thing about the Vidal Sassoon one is that it generates alot of heat, and its got ceramic plates that distribute heat evenly, the cardinal rule of all straighteners is that they have entirely ceramic plates. It was also around 40$ including tax at walmart and it works really well. Make sure you buy the one with the wide plate though, it works best, and straighten small chuncks of hair at a time.

ok when i wash my hair it becomes really curly

and i have long and thick hair.

i straichten it everyday and tie it back

i really want to leave it down but it gets puffy and frizzy

what can i do???

Curly hair help (reasonable answers only)?

there really is no natural answer to this question, you have to experiment with what works for you...but what i do is i use the strongest anti-frizz hairspray they make everyday so i can leave it down and not cooped up in a hat...its tough but girls love my curly hair..so....it works....good luck

Curly hair help (reasonable answers only)?

my hair them exact same and if not worse, i bought a HIGH quallity hair strightner and hair softener from cvs trust me the money for the hair straighter is worth it if u have a danna cole near u go there! best palce 2 buy 1!!!

Curly hair help (reasonable answers only)?

I swear to you that I have the curliest hair ever!

After showering, I use Got 2 Be Glued.

http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.a...

It's amazing and cheap. Keeps my curls nice for a couple days. I will say that unless i dry it with a towel after I put the stuff in, it doesn't get crunchy but otherwise it will. But It might be the price you have to pay for awesome curls.

Curly hair help (reasonable answers only)?

It sounds like you need to put some product on your locks. I recommend using a nice conditioner that you comb through your hair while you're in the shower. Rinse it, then, apply a leave-in conditioner, such as Infusium, to your hair especially concentrating on the ends of your hair. Next, squeeze a small amount of a lightweight, flexible holding gel in the palm of your hand and then rub your hands and fingers together (basically, get it all over your hands) then, take your hands and fingers and apply the gel throughout your hair usin your fingers as a "comb." Continue finger-styling your hair until you're satisfied with the look, and, to really combat the frizz, let your hair air dry rather than blow drying it. (Some people use a diffuser, however, personally, I think they make the hair frizzier. So, I wouldn't use one.)

Curly hair help (reasonable answers only)?

Wash with a straightening shampoo, eg. sunsilk straight and sleek. Dry with hair drier pointing down from top of ur head. Get really good hair straighteners... GHD's if you can afford some ! And when you straighten your hair so it with heat protection spray and put it in sections to be straightened so ur not trying to do so much at once. And finally put some hair serum in after that should help it stay straight ! :) Hope this helps. It's what I do and I have very frizzy hair without. Also a decent hair cut :)

Curly hair help (reasonable answers only)?

i have the same problem. i have had my hair chemically straightened but it only helped for a couple of months. next time you get your hair cut, ask them to thin it with a razor. once i did that, it was easier to brush and would stay straighter longer when i used a flat iron. now it seems to stay straight until the next wash. also, if your worried about frizz and stuff, then find something in the hair dept. that can be used on your hair before using the flat iron. good luck!

Curly hair help (reasonable answers only)?

MY HAiR iS REALLY CURLY 2.THiS iS WAT i DO U WiLL NEED GEL AND HOLDiNG SPRAY. ALSO SCRUNCH HAiR SO UR HAiR WONT LOOK CURLY STRAIGHT SO IT CAN B CURLY AND BOUNCY! LOL!

Curly hair help (reasonable answers only)?

shower at night before you go to bed.

comb a leave in conditioner through your hair about 10 minutes after you get out of the shower, then a straightening mousse (like herbal essences dangerously straight pin straight mousse).

wait a little longer and put in about a quarter sized amount of an anti-frizz serum, focusing on the ends, not the roots or your hair will look greasy!

then wait until your hair is halfway dried, and blowdry your hair, using a brush, aiming down (not underneath and up or upside down!!!) when you're done, flat iron it if it's not already straight from the blowdry. then, put your hair into a low ponytail and go to bed.

when you wake up in the morning, you may have a dent from the hair band, but just straighten over that part and you'll be fine. apply a little more anti frizz serum if needed, and some straightening hairspray (like herbal essences dangerously straight pin straight hairspray)

i hope this helped!

good luck! :)

Curly hair help (reasonable answers only)?

Try Aveda spray gel and a light spray leave-in conditioner. It works for me and I've got kinky curly hair.

If you like your curls, I would forego using the straightening iron anymore. The heat just kills your hair. Plus, I don't know where you live, but if its the slightest bit humid, your hair will get puffy. At least, thats what mine does.

Good luck. Experiment with products till you find what works for you. Love your CURLS!!! :-)

Curly hair help (reasonable answers only)?

I have the same problem and have had it all my life. What i do to keep it straight all day is...First off I never buy the straighteners that are Wet to Dry because it doesn't work as well as you think it should. But switch up your shampoo and use something that is smooth and silky! Then what i have is tres emme heat tamer spray. Its like 5 or 6 dollars at Wal mart and Walgreens. Spray that before you blow dry your hair because it helps with the fly aways and frizz. After your hair is completely dry then seperate and straighten like normal. It works for me and I don't have any trouble with my hair frizzing up or getting all curly again! The secret is the heat tamer by tres semme...it works wonders because after you blow dry your hair is already mostly straight and all you have to do is run your straightener through it to keep it that way. Good luck!

Curly hair help (reasonable answers only)?

Use and anti frizz serum (such as john freda (extra strenght)) and apply that to damp hair. Use a straighning balm (they have lots of brands at any store like target and walmart) The tresseme brand is good. Its also VERY IMPORTANT to use a heat defense cream. Let it air dry over night (or blow dry if you dont have time) and straighten it in the morning. Use the dove brand flexable hold aerosal hairspray. Make sure you have a good flat iron. That may be the problem as well.

If you want the really good stuff (expensive though) The "sleek" by Matrix is amazing. You can get this at a salon or try walmart. They have a web site as well

http://www.matrix.com/products/sleek_loo...

Heres websites of the other products so you can know what they look like.

The john frida collection works just as well as the Matrix at half the price.

Dove brand hairspray

Curly hair help (reasonable answers only)?

Moisture, moisture, moisture. Get a good deep conditioner. Or *lightly* apply some jojoba or coconut oil. That will help with the frizzies.

Curly hair help (reasonable answers only)?

I too, being latin (Portuguese) have this problem as well. However, all of the new products that exist today have answered many a prayer from a person with curly hair. You must use a straighten up (products that state straight/frizz free/completely straight/etc.) shampoo and conditioner that is specifically for curly hair, straightening/anti-frizz/curl tamer. Also you can put leave in conditioner (make sure that it is a lightweight one (it can weigh your hair down), or if you do not want to use a leave in mousse is great also. Then finally, use a glossy serum that combats frizz and fly aways. I love Pantene products, Sebastian, Straight products (CVS) and a host of others (Ulta has a great selection). Another note, when you have curly hair it is imperative that you use good hair Ion tools! Good Luck!

Curly hair advice needed!!!?

I have naturally curly wavy hair but its not perfect, and i was wondering if u could recommend me some products like a mousse or a hair cream so the curls get more bounce and stay thru humid weather and wind... Im already using pantene shampoo and conditionner for curls and it helps a bit but not as much as id like it to...

So if u have any tips or products that u could show me, id rly appreciate :)

and im rly sorry about the spelling mistakes, im french speaking and my written english is terrible..:S

Curly hair advice needed!!!?

Your english is fine, anyway, I have curly hair and the shampoo your using is fine. To make your curls more bouncy, flip your head upside down and apply curl mousse while your hair is flipped upside down. When you put the mousse in your hair scrunch it upwards. Its helps create more volume to your curls. The mousse i use is STIFF $@%! Kickass Curls. (The pink bottle) Goodluck!

Curly hair advice needed!!!?

Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Mousse works well for me. Make sure you don't pull on your hair when applying it. I'm sure you already know this, but you never know sometimes.

Curly hair advice needed!!!?

Sounds like you have some what the same type as hair as me. Things I like to do...

If I'm going to let my hair just dry naturally, I like to take a squirt of light hair gel (I use l'oreal) and a squirt of calming cream (I use bed head 'after party') and mix them together and comb through my damp hair. Then I scrunge my hair and let it dry. Usually drys really well and looks great.

If I dry my hair with a blowdryer I usually apply a small bit of calming cream before (try got2b calming cream for wet hair), dry and then apply a little squirt of frizz oil (try citre shine shine mist anti-frizz spray laminator). Works like a charm... and you can find all these products in your local wal-mart =)

Hope I helped!

Curly hair advice needed!!!?

I have that kind of hair too. Have you tried scrunching your hair? It works for me. then i put a little bit of mousse in it and it looks pretty good. also, i saw a special on tv saying that pantene dries out and damages your hair, so maybe try another brand?

Curly hair question.. plzz?

i love the way scene hair looks. are there anyways to get curly scene hair. or at least an edgy cut. pics would be wesom!(girl btw)

Curly hair question.. plzz?

curly hair rocks!

Curly hair question.. plzz?

I really want to know that to!

I want edgy hair, but my hair is curly and I really don't want to straighten it every day. I'm going to see if you get any awnsers...

What I do though, instead of straightening all my hair, I straighten my bangs every now and then. They are long and go over one eye, and I leave the rest of my hair curly. It's emo/scene and my friends love it =)

Curly hair question.. plzz?

well I have "scene" hair,

I dont really call it Scene but whatever.

and my hair is naturally only two inches long,

I use extentions every single day,

first I straighten my regular hair,

then I glue or clip in my extentions,

and just curl them ir straighten them

Why do girls like guys with curly hair?

For my whole life I've always kept my hair short. I liked having it short and I never really ever let it grow out. Also my dad was on my case if it got too long. And so finally about 2 years ago I decided that I wasn't going to touch my hair just to kind of experiment. As it grew, it started to curl, and once it was about an inch and a half or so, people started complimenting me on my curly hair. And so it turned into a regular occurrence. An average of at least one or two girls every day would say something to me about my hair. I really don't understand it. Before when I didn't have curly hair, no girl would ever come up and start a conversation with me. And I've been hooking up with some really hot girls. So I'm just really curious about girls as to what their fascination with curly hair is all about. And I should note that I do consider the fact some people probably don't like it, so I guess this question is for the people that do.

Why do girls like guys with curly hair?

I don't know why I do ... but I do!

Sorry I can't give you an answer; it just looks sexier.

Why do girls like guys with curly hair?

Different folk different stroke. So don't let them fool you.

Why do girls like guys with curly hair?

It's a known belief that guys with curly hair seem to be, well bigger, if you know what I mean.

Why do girls like guys with curly hair?

the thing is Tom its not about the hair.. its about you.. when you had those short hair of yours you were not as hot as with your curly hair.. so when you started to grow your hair you started to attract much more attention.. for me tho yeah i like curly hair.. but i do not have any prob with the other types too...

Is curly hair or straight hair better on a male?

I have straight hair and my friend has curly hair and we were wonder what is better looking?

Is curly hair or straight hair better on a male?

it depends on how you take care of it , and how it matches with you features ...

i think both are hot ..

because i go with curly hair once and straight hair other times ..

and i love the way i look in both of them

Is curly hair or straight hair better on a male?

it kinda depends. personally i like it straight.

Is curly hair or straight hair better on a male?

depends.

Is curly hair or straight hair better on a male?

it depends..but i think curly

Is curly hair or straight hair better on a male?

it would help if you post a picture

Is curly hair or straight hair better on a male?

Straight. Layered. With bangs.

Is curly hair or straight hair better on a male?

It depends on how well kept it is. My boyfriend has long hair passed his shoulders and I keep it well groomed from split ends and it's beautiful. I always have my fingers in his hair because I like to play with it. It's part of being a stylist. Then, you have some guys who have the beautiful curly hair. If it's well manageable and maintained with no split ends and not all over the place, then it probably looks good. I am not going to judge who has the better hair here because nobody answering this question can see your hair and it's not fair to us if we can't see it. However, whoever has it well groomed and no split ends would have the better looking hair in my opinion. But if it's frizzy and out of control, sorry it wouldn't be better looking.

Is curly hair or straight hair better on a male?

all my crushes have straight hair... lol...

but it really depends with the shape of the face and how you look...

Is curly hair or straight hair better on a male?

Depends on many factors.

No type of hair is 'better' - it just depends on whether or not you know how to 'work it'.

Wavy / curly hair -- I NEED HELP?

My hair looks kind of like this, except more frizzy and thicker (if I don't do anything to it and let it dry naturally) :

http://www.beautifulhairstyles.com/long/...

I want my hair to look like this :

http://www.beautifulhairstyles.com/long/...

Or sometimes this :

http://www.beautifulhairstyles.com/curly...

Anybody have any good styling techniques or good hair products to help me achieve those looks? (Money's not an issue, so give me what you have!)

Wavy / curly hair -- I NEED HELP?

The first thing you need is to go out and get a good haircut for wavy hair. Somebody who works in a salon can help you decide how to cut it. Then what I do is I use a product called cursl up mousse and "scrunch" my hair up with a couple of paper towels. That way I can just let it dry naturally without a lot of work and it looks tidy and curly.

Wavy / curly hair -- I NEED HELP?

use sunslik products

they do WONDERS!!

haha good luck, i have similar hair kinda

=]

%26lt;33

Wavy / curly hair -- I NEED HELP?

Don't blow dry it on high heat. I would blow dry it on heat for a little then on cold, although i wouldn't recommend blowdrying at all. I like towel drying better. First put in leave-in if u wanna blowdry. Then use a serum to get rid of frizz, add shine, and smooth it out. I'd recommend Herbal Essences leave in and Garnier serum. After it's dry, I like to comb it with my fingers in order for it not to frizz up. I sometimes brush with a large tooth comb, but NEVER a fine tooth because it frizzes your hair like a mother. I'm a guy and my hair is short so idk if it will work for long hair...hope this helps!

P.S. I don't like Sunsilk...It makes your hair smell bad after a while and it really doesn't work for me.

Wavy / curly hair -- I NEED HELP?

the 3rd one definatly

Why is curly hair good???

I want to buy a good hair straightener to straighten my hair, but my mom insists that i don't, because she says it will only ruin my "beautiful" hair.

Convinve me! Why Is CURLY Hair Good

Why is curly hair good???

because straight are boring.

but then again, the grass is always greener on the other side.

girls with curly hairs yearns to straighten their hair.

while those with straight hairs wanna perm it.

Why is curly hair good???

http://www.carolsdaughter.com/department...

Why is curly hair good???

Curly hair is beautiful and elegant.

If you're blessed with curly hair, I would treasure it.

I always want to curl my hair because straight hair gets so boring. I think you should keep curly hair, or buy a straightner and only occasionally straighten it. Unless you have REALLY tight curls, then it might be really hard to straighten it and you would get very bad split-ends.

Why is curly hair good???

because natrually curly hair isnt as common. it is seductive and people with straight hair like myself pay big money to have curly hair. but you always want what you dont have.

Why is curly hair good???

i have naturally curly hair and have been fighting it for almost 29 years... if you figure it out, please let me know!!!

Why is curly hair good???

I have naturally curly hair and I love it, even though I don't wear it curly that often. It seems to hold curls better than straight hair would when I curl it with a curling iron, and it has a lot more body than other people's when I straighten it. Plus I can just put mousse in it and let it go and it looks cute. So I think curly hair is a bit more versatile.

Although it does have it's downsides... since you can't go in the rain or in a pool without it getting all frizzy afterwards. That's a pain in the butt.

Why is curly hair good???

well i don't think you should go and by other hair to up do yours especially if it is good hair I have curly hair also but mine is thick when I was a baby I have thick hair curly hair my mother didn't like combing it so when I was about 9 years old my cousin used to strihetned out the naturals curly of my hair to make it long and straight. and at the age of 14 my mom let me got my first perm. But now I can either where it straight or curly. It will not harm your hair if you straigthen it! Because when you aweat it out it will then become curly again.I should know and I am out of my mothers home! If youwant to check out my profile I have a naturally curly picture on my website!

Does curly hair look good dyed black?

i have brown hair right now and its pretty healthy. i have naturally curly hair but i am thinking of dying it black, should i get it permanently straightened but will that ruin it with the coloring too? my hair is my avatars color also i have hazel eyes and fair skin but im not ghostly pale so...help!!

Does curly hair look good dyed black?

! i think curly hair will look great in black!!!

Does curly hair look good dyed black?

My mom has black curly hair and it looks great!

Sorry, I dont have any pics, but She is kinda pale and her hair still looks good. Just make sure to never wear alot of blush hahaha XD

Good luck!

Does curly hair look good dyed black?

If I were you I would go for a very dark brown. Black can often look very harsh, especially on a pale face. Try looking on Google or at celebs who have the style you want.

Does curly hair look good dyed black?

if u tryin to say u want a relaxer nd dye ur hair dat would mess up ur hair! u gonna have to always put treatment on ur hair nd is dangerous if u dye ur hair light wit a relaxer on! like u can do it but u really have to take care of it!

Does curly hair look good dyed black?

ok, black looks sooo fake if they have a color book that shows what they have look for a dark, dark , natural looking brown. beware the sun though! the u.v rays make dark hair fade and that means you will need it dyed often. if you want to keep your hair naturally healthy don't dye it!

Does curly hair look good dyed black?

dont get it permantly straightend! It can cause seerious hair damage, expecially after coloring. Curly hair looks awsome in black, it looks so shiny! i used to have very black hair (now it's lighter, long story) and pale skin and blue eyes, and it looks very nice. But look out, black dye has more peroxide than other dyes, so use a nice hair care mask once a week(more can cause product buildup, leaving hair dull) :) good luck

Does curly hair work with a round/oval face?

I'd really love to style my hair like Jessica Alba, Christina Aguilera, or Nicole Kidman's, but I'm afraid since I was born with straight hair that curls will make my face look rounder, more childish and/or heavier - not saying people with curly hair look like this!! I have a mostly oval, but slightly round face with larger features and a kind of pointy chin. Could I pull curls off?

Some ideas of the type of curls I'm thinking about:

1. http://img139.imagevenue.com/img.php?ima...

2. http://www.casafree.com/modules/xcgal/al...

3.http://vafadar-delshekaste.persiangig.co...

Does curly hair work with a round/oval face?

Curly hair on a round/oval face works if your hair is long or shoulder length which is why my hair is always long. If your hair is short the curls will make your face look rounder and does not look right.

Does curly hair work with a round/oval face?

It's all in the cut. an oval face if the ideal. Anything will work. To lengthen a round face, keep most of the volume at top of your head and the sides should be close to your face.

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

Hi! On christmas I got a flat iron made by conair. I had my hair straightened by a cousin once last year and I was thinking about doing straight hair (instead of my curly hair) for the first day back after winter break. I have a few questions though...........

Should I straighten it by myself or with help?

Can I straighten it straight after i get out the shower?

Can I starighten it after I put spray (detanglers, shines, hairspray) on it?

What the best system/routine to staighten hair?

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

i have some answers to your questions

Should I straighten it by myself or with help?

well help is always a good thing.. on your sides and in the front straightening your hair can be easy but places in the back where you cant reach or see can be challenging so if someone is avaliable and wants to help thats great!

Can I straighten it straight after i get out the shower?

thats what i do... i blow dry my hair a little and then using the straightener i straighten it

Can I starighten it after I put spray (detanglers, shines, hairspray) on it?

well you can but it would be best to see what effect these things had on your hair when it was straight.. you never know what some things will do o.O

What the best system/routine to staighten hair?

the best way to go about straightening your hair... is to do it as little as possible.. curly hair like yours and mine is often fragile and the more you straighten it the drier it get and the more fragile it gets .. so once in a while is fine but realize that straightening your hair is overall unhealthy for it

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

dont do it ur self

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

if u straighten it ur self, u might miss a few spots at the back so ask a friend to help u.. but not all the time

when get got out of shower n ur hait is wet dry it first n then strighten it. if ur strightener works for wet hair then its ok.

stright ur hait first n then put hair spray so it'll last longer.

put half of ur hair up first n start with bottom layer.

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

Things with the hair usually come better if you dont do it yourself.

A girl in my school tried to streighten her hair and now it looks like a giant poodle on her head.

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

straighten your hair yourself .

yes, you can straighten it when you get out of the shower .

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

I'll answer you're questions in order

well, getting the back can be tough,so you could ask for some help for that, but the rest you should be able to do on your own

it fries your hair if you do that. you need to blow dry it first or let it air dry..either one, although if your hair doesn't get really frizzy when you blow dry it,it's just not as curly.then blow dry it first, it will help

there are a lot of sprays and gel like stuff you can buy that you put on damp hair that helps straighten and protect your hair from heat..normally it adds shine too. put it on your hair and then either blow dry it or let it air dry, then get to work. put a tiny amount of hairspray in afterr you're all done straightening your hair

the night before straighten it, so when you get up, it might of gotten a little messed up, but you can just go over it really quick to fix it up. don't put hairspray in the night before, put it on when you're completley done doing your hair

also, if you straighten it everyday, your hair will start to fry and get split ends.

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

You have to get a routine going, when I first started doing my hair it took me between 1-2 hrs, now it only takes about 15 min. just section some hair and straighten when the iron is fully heated. use a mirror when you're done to check the back-make sure you move the top layer of hair and check underneath too. unless you have a straightener that works on wet hair you shouldn't do it right after a shower, it can damage your hair and makes it really frizzy. you should buy a thermal protective spray to put on it before you straighten and use it everytime you do-this helps to not damage the hair so much. The best routine I would say is blowdry hair as straight as possible, section hair, spray protective spray, go over with straightener until straight, brush, check hair with mirror........hope this helps :)

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

u should try to straighten as much as u can on ur own then let a freind get the spots that u missed ....u can staighten it after the shower ONLY!! if u have a straghtning iron that works on wet hair ..i would put all of those shines and stuff in ur hair after u starighten it but make sure u dont drench it .. the best routinee hmm i do it from the back of my head to the front .

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

First, blowdry your hair when you are out of the shower while brushing your hair . This will give your hair a softer feeling and will give it lift, allowing you to have volume after straightening with the iron so that you won't have flat and unattractive hair. After blowdrying, start to iron sections that didn't straighten out too good. Split your hair down the middle and work one side at a time. The best way is to go natural-do not put any products in your hair before straighting or blowdrying because it may be too sticky and stiff or even cause the hair to be more difficult to style because of the chemicals. Only use them afterwards-to shape or to polish the look.

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

I have curly hair and I have recently found a new way to straighten my hair. First I wash it and towel dry it then I put a leave on moose on. I then take a comb and and comb through it and wrap my hair around and get under a dryer. After it is semi dry, I then take my hair out and blow dry it until it is completely straight. I then style it to my liking.

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

Don't be disappointed if it doesn't work. My hair is curly too and I've tried every straightening balm/gel there is - cheap to expensive, and every straightening iron there is, and it will stay straight for an hour or so, but slowly the frizz and the curl will creep back in throughout the day. In high school I had it straightened at a salon for a prom (which took a very long time btw), and by the end of the night my hair was curly again. I've come to terms with the fact that I can't have straight hair.

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

heres my advice for the routine but try strigtning your hair a few days before the winter break 2 c if u like it straight...you can straighten your hair yourself but get some1 to help u with the back..put a little straightning balm/cream on your hair and smooth it in from root 2 tip ...and you can straigtner your hair after u use the cream just dont use loads...%26amp; for straightenin your hair after the shower i would'nt uless the straightners says u can use them on damp hair if not...make sure your hair is dry befor using them...gud luk

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

while there is nothing like a salon blow out, you can get the same results at home, you just have to be patient. first wash your hair and put a good straightening product on it. i use Redken smooth down or Bumble and Bumble straightening, am finding the Redken a little better right now. (cheaper too). you have to blow out your hair when it's still damp (use a round brush. I have super curly hair so i always put a little more product on the ends. your hair should be perfectly dry before using the flat iron before using it, otherwise you will fry it. OR.....you can use a wet to straight iron and not worry about that problem. either way, over time you can get close to salon results at home....good luck..I do it myself at least once a week. don't use hair spray, etc until you are done...but you can touch up for a few days without washing our your hari.

Straightening Really Curly Hair?

1)u can do the front alone then when u get to places u dont reach, ask some1 2 hepl u!

2) when im in a hurry i do staighten it rite after the shower but they say u mess up the sraightener and ur hair too

3) dont straighten it after u put hairspray or anything, just straighten it alone with out anything.

okay what i do is:

i shower, comb my hair out, let it dry, sraighten it from the front, get help for the back, straighten it all over again, then when im done put baby oil and brush it.

try it!

Help curly hair mess?

I have very curly hair and they are very small/tight curls and i have alot of hair...im 1/2 black 1/2 indian. I dont know what to do with my hair! dont just say cut it off.... please i straighten it sometimes but i cant everyday because im in 8th grade and I dont have time. Parents wont let me get a perm or japanese straightening eaither so i just neeed day to day suggestions for school.

Help curly hair mess?

Hey there, I'm 22 and have hair just like yours!! I don't straighten it because i feel like i never have time. if you're ok with it being curly my best suggestion is to put just a small amount of lotion in it when it's still wet. It weighs the curls down a little and makes them shiny and sleek. It also makes them smell great all day :)

Help curly hair mess?

If you just want to get it out of your face, brush it before you shower. Then put it back in a pony tail while it is wet. The front should straiten out (a little) from being back and at least that will help. You could also get it layered so it lays better. I have curly hair too but, not as curly as yours. I have like Robert Plant curls.

Help curly hair mess?

After you take a shower. Brush your hair really well. While you are doing it, put in hairspray. That way while it is staright with the brush it can stay like that the rest of the day!

Good Luck! :)

Help curly hair mess?

If you're having issues with curly hair, you should ask your mum to check out a book all about curly hair and how to take care of it so it looks amazing.

Its called Curly Girls by Lorraine Massey with Deborah Chiel.

You can also order it off of Amazon.

It's a REALLY usefull book.

Help curly hair mess?

I know how you feel. I am a melting pot of races. I have native american indian, irish, caucasion, and only God knows what else! (my mom's dad was adopted and died when she was 4. I don't know what else is in me). I've got thick course curly hair. Some times I used to feel like a girl attached to my hair. What I have found that works. Keep your hair really conditioned. Products that I've found works for my hair are: Sun Silk Anti-Poof, Matrix Biologe Hyddrating Shampoo and Conditioner, and Redkin Riglet 07. I got a haircut with mutliple layers (combination of small, chunky, and long layers). That made it easy for me to tame my hair. Talk to your hairstylist about some layering cuts that would tame the curl. My hair went from nappy curly to beautiful wavy with just a layered a layered cut. I didn't take off the length. Don't use the falt iron all the time. It could damage your beautiful hair. Think about how lucky we are to be the girls with the beautiful curls.

Help curly hair mess?

ok, I have heard it all before, but I have also heard that putting lotion in is not good. Ouidad hair products are a possiblity, even if the products( pricey) dont change your hair, they will change the way you feel about your hair.

One relly good product that not many people know about is citre shine. It works VERY well on curly hair- it is like a serum.

I am also a big fan of tresemme and paul mitchell

Good Luck! I know it can be difficult.

Help curly hair mess?

your best bet would be a curl activator. Silking makes a curl activator cream that works great. oh and don't ever put lotion in your hair because you have to wash it out every day and that will dry out your hair faster then anything

Help curly hair mess?

I am mixed too, with black %26amp; chinese. I have thick curly hair with the small/tight curls. I've been trying and trying to find something to do with my hair, and I think I've got it.

I use Garnier Fructis Curl %26amp; Shine shampoo, conditioner, and leave in conditioner (just incase you wanted to know some shampoo's %26amp; such).

As for products, I use a gloss (I don't know the name, sorry!)Sunsilk Frizz Ease 24/7 creme (green bottle), and Tresseme Curl Care mousse.

I apply the gloss first, to wet hair (you can just stick your head under the sink every morning, you don't actually have to wash your hair). After that, I apply the creme. Sometimes for hold I'll use the mousse, but its not necassary.

I always let my hair air dry, but some people use a diffuser which defines curls.

Some tips I have is when you go to sleep, put your hair in some sort of bun (on the top of your hair so it won't be in your way when you sleep). This will keep it from being wild in the morning. Another tip is I never comb my hair unless I'm washing it (if you need to comb your hair, finger comb while wetting it). This keeps in the curl. Also, always style your hair with wet hair, unless of course you are straightening it. And last but not least, I squeeze dry my hair, which also keeps in curls.

I have my hair layered, but get long layers if you do or your hair will poof up (embarassingly. Been there, done that). This does thin it out somewhat.

I must admit, my hair is so thick that not all of my hair curls up like a famous star, but this helps me soo much, and it leaves my hair with nice curls %26amp; frizz free. It also stays all day, through softball %26amp; conditioning, so you won't have to worry about it going bleh on you through out the day.

I hope this helps, %26amp; good luck!

Why is thick curly hair so hard to take care of?

I have really thick course hair and I'm always managing it and I want to grow my hair out because it hasn't been long since I was nine and now I'm sixteen and it touches my shoulders a little but not quite there yet, but I want it to touch below my shoulders, but no longer and I keep thinking how hard it's going to be when it grows out where I want it. How do you manage thick curly hair when it's in the process of growing out? I remember when my parents would comb my hair in the morning and I'd scream at the top of my lungs and knowing when it grows out again I'll have to experience it again.LOL I have another question how can I become patient with my hair growing out, because my mom said my hair probably won't be at the length I want it until I'm a senior. What do you think about both of my questions?

Why is thick curly hair so hard to take care of?

ITS NOT !

Its not harder to take care of unless you are trying to make it more "white" looking.

if you just leave it natural its fine.

but if you are trying to make it straight, like white peoples...then the problem is ----you're attempting to make it do - unatural stuff.

its the same thing if - white people - attempt to make their natural hair - coarse.

Why is thick curly hair so hard to take care of?

See if you can buy a certain kind of scissors at the barber shop. These scissors only cuts so much hair, its called thinning. by useing these scissors twice a week you will manage your hair much better.

Why is thick curly hair so hard to take care of?

I have thick curly hair but i get it wash n flat iron n end clipz every 2 wkz n my hair starting 2 get long bcuz b4 it wuz 2 my shoulderz now it'z pazt my shoulderz

Why is thick curly hair so hard to take care of?

well its hard to take care of because there arent many product out there which help maintain curly hair..... dont use grease as this just dries out the hair further... im also in the transitioning period and i find that curls (www.curls.biz) works really well the best products they have are the curls milkshake and the asian tea hair conditioner they work really well...i also remember my mum doing my hair when i was younger and the screaming and all sorts...and one thing i remember most is that she would grease my hair and not moisturize it (the common mistake made by many). anyways depending on how fast ur hair grow with the proper maintenants it may only take two years but this also includes changing the way u comb or brush ur hair as well.. it seems like a lot of change to start off with but u do get used to it.....u may also want to try looking at blended-beauty.com however this site is more for when u have finished with the transition....if u dont try anything else at least try the milkshake u can really tell the difference as it bridges the gap between the two hair textures.....

Why is thick curly hair so hard to take care of?

You need to get Sebastian Potion #9. It's the best leave in conditioner, and it's heavy...so thick curly hair like yours won't be big and poofy :) also make sure to get regular trims, that will help eliminate breakage which makes growing your hair out seem to take forever...

Also, find a heavy shine serum and a good mousse (that's not volumizing) and use plenty of product...don't wash it every day, curly hair needs all the moisture it can get and washing it strips the natural oils away.

Hope this helps!

Thick, curly hair, receeding hairline, help!!?

im 15, ive got receedin hairline, thick, quite curly hair, my forehead sticks out a bit, shud i grow it and straighten it, because girls like men with quite long straight hair, the thing i want most is to have a fringe to cover forehead so it doesnt look big, i dont want the hair to look massive on top, will layerin help wiv that as well, any answers for my problems plz =)

Thick, curly hair, receeding hairline, help!!?

Pay extra and go to a barber who will style your hair in the style you would like. Once you find how you look best, other barbers can keep to that style!

Remember that shaved heads are always popular with the girls!!!

Curly Hair with Bangs? would it work? reply asap!!!?

My hair is that funny semi wavy, semi curly type and i was thinking of changing it up...I've had the same style for over a year. I already have layers in it and i want to put it in a ponytail still.....so i was thinking of getting bangs im on the fence between side swept and straight across so i dont mind whichever...

Reply ASAP!!!! I'm going to get my hair cut today!!!! lol

Curly Hair with Bangs? would it work? reply asap!!!?

yes please go to the neareast salon they will be very happy to help you asap

Curly Hair with Bangs? would it work? reply asap!!!?

i have the same hair type as you do... dont get straight accross bangs (totally dont work with the wavy curly hair, trust me) i have side bangs, and i blow dry at least my bangs every day. if you dont feel like doing it on some days, just pin them back.

goodluck!!:)

Curly Hair with Bangs? would it work? reply asap!!!?

I think you should try side-swept. I think bangs straight across is so 90's. i have side-swept bangs. I think it would look really good with curly hair. good luck!!

Curly Hair with Bangs? would it work? reply asap!!!?

it would totally work! my cousin is 21 and she uses the look

so its hot

Is there a possibility of losing my curly hair?

My parents agree that I need to get a haircut. It's pretty long, well past my shoulders now. I want to get it cut a sort of longer type of Han Solo hair-do and I'm dreading it won't work because my hair was really curly at that length. But now I've been growing my hair for several years now and it actually stays pretty straight because of the weight of my hair. Is it possible that my curly hair will be gone if i cut it because of time and the weight of my long hair pulling it straight for a few years? I just don't want to have to spend a lot of my time and have to straighten everyday. My hair isn't the "cute" type of curly either. It was thick and always lopsided when I was in the process of growing my hair out.

Is there a possibility of losing my curly hair?

well, juss get it cut and get a perm/relaxer to keep it straight so you wont have to straighten it everyday. *if your thinking of having a perm in,try not to scratch your head a few days in advance.

Is there a possibility of losing my curly hair?

It'll get curly again. I have the same type of hair %26amp; the same thing happens to me (hair is short and wavy/frizzyish, grows out %26amp; straightens, and I think it'll stay straighter when I cut it, but it never does).

Curly Hair...help please?

My hair is naturally curly. And I mean...really curly. I don't care about how long it takes to style it, but I'm getting tired of the usual ponytail, bun, braid, or down. Any other ideas??

Curly Hair...help please?

I have extremely curly hair... When I am getting all dressed up or whatever, I like to straighten it.. Now, until about a year ago or so (maybe not even that long ago!) Every hair straightening tool I bought didn't work... Or at least not very well! However, I found this one straightening iron that is absolutely amazing!! It works on both wet and dry hair.. So if your hair is really curly like mine, as soon as you get out of the shower set the iron as high as it will go, then straighten it. It straightens beautifully and actually looks like I have naturally straight hair! That in itself opens up a world of possibilities, because you can then try lots of other hairstyles that wouldn't work for us curly haired girls.. :)

So my suggestion, try to find a wet/dry hair straightening tool, straighten hair while it's wet. Hope this helps!

Curly Hair...help please?

Just get some products to enhance your natural curl. My hair is also naturally very curly

Curly Hair...help please?

Well, you used all the possibilities. I have wavy/curly hair, and I just keep mine down..so..

Curly Hair...help please?

Welcome to my world. I've tried to straighten mine, but it damages the heck out of it. Maybe go some where and have them put a straightener on it if you don't like it curly. I have it down mostly, but as soon as i get home from work...i put it up. Not much else to do. Go to the store and look at all the hair clips they have that might jazz your style up a bit. i've seen girls put those cute scarf looking hair ties in. Just some ideas...hope i've helped a little.

Curly Hair...help please?

I think the side ponytail or braid is really cute. I don't mean like sticking out from your head, but more resting on your shoulder. I was just reading a magazine that was saying "Braids are In." That's where I got the idea and it looks really cute.

Curly Hair...help please?

Go to a beauty supply store and get a GOOD hair straightener. I paid $100 for mine and I am ver happy with it. You can go to a salon and have a stylist help you find the style that is right for you and they can give you tips on how to acheive that style and how to make it look good. Anytime you use heat styling you should use a product that works with heat. Your stylist can also advise you of that. I would say pay the money and have them help you with a style and if you dont like it you can always change it. I know how you feel but I just go between straight and curly all the time and it ends up on top of my head by the end of the day anyways!

Curly Hair...help please?

you could use ghds to straighten it, or you could try a curl calming serum (like aveda's be curly) which will enhance your natural curl to make it look gorgeous!

my hair is super-curly!! it takes me forever to straighten my hair every day! the hair straightener i use now is like only 30$. my mom said shed buy me a more expensive one if it will work better than the cheeper ones. so is there a brand anyone suggests that will work good thats i dont know... it the "more expensive" category... mabey 50-150$?

Curly hair vs. Straight hair?

I have curly not frizzy hair %26amp; I was wondering If I should straighten it or not.

Curly hair vs. Straight hair?

That's entirely up to you. Try straight hair on a night when you're going to stay home in case it doesn't work out. And if you like it, great! A good and not-so-pricey straightener is Wet2Straight, and one that really works (it's about 100 bucks but well worth the money) is Chi. They're the best!

Curly hair vs. Straight hair?

once and a while it is nice to mix it up so go for it!

Curly hair vs. Straight hair?

yes if its going to make u look better

Curly hair vs. Straight hair?

i change a lot straight 4 skwl curly 4 meals etc. lol i think it makes people notice it more if you swap coz u luk different.

Curly hair vs. Straight hair?

Start off with not-so-clean hair. Instead of shampooing, which strips hair of moisture, just wet and condition with a conditioner made for your hair type (color-treated, dry or fine). Don't rinse all of the conditioner out of the hair. (Only rinse for 20 to 30 seconds.)

Coat hair with a straightening balm or smoothing gel. (Try: Alterna Hemp Seed Straightening .) This will make the brush glide more easily through the hair and will coat the hair to prevent loss of moisture. Try to use a flat brush with combination natural and nylon bristles. (Try: Combination Bristle brush.)

Separate your hair into sections using clips. Don't make sections wider than the brush.

Follow your brush with the blow-dryer, moving in one direction from top to bottom. Never go up and down. Moving in one direction will cause the cuticle to lie flat. Also, using a professional blow-dryer with a nozzle will concentrate the heat and make hair smoother. Make sure to dry each section completely before moving on to the next. When hair is dry make sure there is no dampness. Redry sections as necessary.

Finish off the style with a finishing product containing oil, like Alterna Hemp Seed Polishing Gloss . Rub a drop in your hands and flatten hair, starting at the top of your part and moving down the sides. Don't use hair spray, which absorbs oil.

If you want an extra sleek look for a special occasion, use a professional flat iron. (Save it for once-in-a-while. Everyday use is damaging to the hair.) First section hair and run the flat iron as close to the root as possible, slowly working toward the ends. Use a drop of finishing product on each section to keep the look.

If you don't have the time to go straight, make the most of what you've got and leave your hair curly. After shampooing and conditioning, blot hair dry with a towel. Avoid overrubbing, which causes frizzies. Use a dollop of gel to add moisture, scrunch through your hair and let it dry naturally

Curly hair vs. Straight hair?

You can straighten it occasionally. Just don't make it a routine. You have nice frizz free hair. If you torture it too much, it might just start acting up, getting dry and frizzy.

Curly hair vs. Straight hair?

SO, ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS BUY YOU A GOOD STRAIGHTENER...AT SEARS...IT COST ABOUT 32.00 BUT IT REALLY WORKS ! I HAVE CURLY (FRIZZY) HAIR AND IT LOOKS SOOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL WHEN I AM DONE...TRY IT YOU WILL LOVE IT I PROMISE YOU !!! LOL...LISA

Curly hair vs. Straight hair?

you can straighten it if you want. it's not like it'll look bad or anything and it'll give you something new to try with your hair.

Curly hair vs. Straight hair?

i have curly hair and sometimes i wonder the same thing but so far i don't want any more damage to it than it already has since i blow dry,,color it at the roots,,hairspray.......same with you..think of any possible damage before doing anything or try the temp straighteners that only last a few washings....

Curly hair vs. Straight hair?

hello ? look ? do whatever you want but plz , dont mess or try to do corn rows cuz that nasty n ugly

Curly hair vs. Straight hair?

I have curly hair. I have straightened it before. It just doesn't feel like me. I wouldn't have them chemically straightened, maybe go to someone who will style it straight for you and it will just wash out, just so you can see if you like the look. I love my curls and always get complements on them. I think you should keep them.

Curly hair vs. Straight hair?

In my opinion, you should stick to the way you were born. It looks more natural that way, and more appealing.

Curly hair vs. Straight hair?

Why not! Its great to have soft smooth hair that you can run your fingers through once in a while! The change is nice too. Just do it once in a while, you don't have to do it everyday.

Curly hair vs. Straight hair?

You should definitely straighten it! My hair is wavy/curly and I straighten it everyday. It works well and I love it. A straightener that really works will coast around $100.

Why is curly hair good???

I want to buy a good hair straightener to straighten my hair, but my mom insists that i don't, because she says it will only ruin my "beautiful" hair.

Convinve me! Why Is CURLY Hair Good

Why is curly hair good???

because straight are boring.

I was born with straight african hair. I want to have curly hair but I want to look natrual. But at the same time my hair is growing so I need it to grow and be health when I got curly hair. It spring so im going for the curly look. Help me.

How do you get straight hair into curly hair?

When you get out of the shower put mousse in your hair. Put rollers in your hair at night when it's half wet, half dry. Go over your hair with a blowdryer while the rollers are in. (Use a low heat and/or speed.) Then lightly spray hair spray over your hair. (Hold the bottle not too close to your head, it'll get crunchy.) Leave them in overnight and take them out in the morning and lightly spray with hairspray again. The Caruso Professional Roller Pack works really well, the curls stay in for days. You can buy them at http://www.folica.com/Caruso_Professi_r1... . If the curls don't look as natural as you want them too when you wake up, just gently run your fingers through your hair.

PS: I have naturally straight hair, too. And this really works for me.

Hey watz da prob if u hav straight hair no one will tease u.Caz u r a african grl.So wat happens if u hav straight hair.Well it is more cool 2 hav straight hair.

How do you get straight hair into curly hair?

I also have very straight hair. I always got perms. If you use light conditioners, they last until your hair grows out. A lot of people have the mistaken idea that their perm fell out, but that is not the case. A perm chemically alters the hair structure. They can be over contitioned to relax, but they never fall out, they grow out.

How do you get straight hair into curly hair?

conair makes great curling iron, and they aren't very expensive, either. i know that if you dont like doing it yourself, you can go to a special hair kiosk @ a mall or somewhere where they can do it for you

Tips To Stop Hair Loss %26amp; Keep Healthy Hair Here are some hair care tips that you can use to help stop hair loss and keep your existing hair healthy and looking great. Please don't take these tips lightly. They are very important . The only thing they require is your time and commitment.

- Massage your scalp with your fingertips (not your nails) daily to stimulate and promote circulation to your scalp and reduce excess fallout. Invert your head while you shampoo %26amp; massage your scalp. This helps promote blood circulation to the head.

- Essential oils %26amp; tea . To stimulate scalp circulation, massage the scalp with rosemary essential oil or rinse hair with tea made from sage.

- Comb or brush your hair and scalp gently in the morning and at night. This helps break up hardened oils (sebum) that are clogging your hair follicles. Doing this alone has produced new hair growth. Do not over do combing or brushing.

- keep a distance from dryer's heat. When using blow dryers, always keep the heat a good distance from your scalp and hair. Avoid heating the scalp and hair excessively. Excessive heat will increase hair loss, and excess fallout.

- Avoid getting hair creams, lotions, styling gels and sprays directly on the scalp as they will clog your hair follicles. Use a light hold spray if you must.

- After swimming in a pool, shampoo your hair as soon as possible to remove any chlorine residue. Chlorine is extremely damaging to the hair and scalp.

- Avoid over-exposing your hair and scalp to the wind and sun. Good hair care over a long period really makes a difference!

- Avoid tight hats and caps as they contribute to poor circulation, depriving the hair of proper nutrition and stunting new hair growth. The sweat, dirt and grime around the rim inhibit follicle health and contribute to build-up.

- Always consult your health care provider for extreme causes of excess fallout and thinning. A medical condition or medication could be causing hair loss side-effects.

- Strive for balance and harmony in both your personal and professional lifestyle. High stress factors can cause your body to react by fluctuating hormone levels. This in turn causes excessive oil secretion (sebum) which results in hair loss.

- Pregnancy, nursing, menopause, and even birth control medication can cause constant changing factors on your nutritional needs and hormonal levels which contribute to hair loss and excess fallout.

- Avoid "crash and fad" diets. Proper nutritious meals along with vitamin and mineral supplements are a key factor for healthy hair and skin.

- Good hair care starts with awareness. These hair care tips, if followed consistently, will reduce excess fallout, hair loss, and promote new hair growth.

- Reduce hair loss effects by increasing your intake of vitamin C found in fresh fruits and vegetables, particularly citrus fruit and juices, parsley, broccoli, green peppers and black currants. Take a vitamin B complex everyday or brewers yeast. Increase your intake of protein found in meat, fish, liver, wheat germ, dried cooked beans and peas, tofu, cheese, milk and eggs.

- Take dietary supplements such as Vitamin B6, zinc %26amp; saw palmetto. Supplements are useful when you can't get enough from natural food sources.

- The Chinese believe that hair is nourished by the blood, and therefore influenced by the kidney %26amp; liver. Treatment is aimed at these organs using fleece flower root, wolfberry fruit or mulberry fruit.

- Eliminate stress or else it can be disastrous to your precious hair!

- Get enough sleep. Sleeping well is essential for the health of your hair as well as for the rest of your body.

There are ways you can help stop the grease from appearing but you have to work at it.

Do not wash everyday. The cleaner your hair is the more it can seep into your glands and harder it is to get rid of. When you do wash make sure you are washing with a cleaning shampoo and scrubbing the build up off. Take in mind that you also have to have a ph-balanced mild shampoo and lite scrubbing is recommended. Try to avoid conditioner at the roots, apply in the middle or on the ends.

Try to avoid oil in your daily food intake. And do eat more vegetables. You could visit your doctor but only after you check and consider your diet, drugs, alcohol, and your fatty food intake. Let's face it we see what McDonalds can do to your heart in a month, can you image your hair. You would be dripping everywhere.

Maybe it's time to change your shampoo. Ask your stylist what she or he would recommend. Avoid using shine products at all costs. Keep away from two-in-one shampoos and conditioners and any frizz serums.

To fix at the moment, rub a little Talcum Powder on your dried hair at the roots. Just make sure you wash it out. I wish they would event that magic product, but this will help until they do.

Here are 10 tips for to keep your hair strong, smooth, shiny and beautiful!

1. Keep your diet balanced, and eat protein and calcium rich foods. Stay away from junk foods! This is essential for healthy hair.

2. Foods and supplements to nourish your hair:

* Beans

* Yogurt

* Almonds

* Vitamin B

* Fish

* And of course, the magic potion for beauty - WATER

3. Before washing your hair, comb it well to make sure all knots has been loosened from your hair.

4. Before applying shampoo, use warm water (35 to 38 degrees Celsius) to run through your hair to rinse and wet it thoroughly.

5. When applying shampoo or conditioner, don't use your fingernails to scrape through your hair. Instead, use your palm and fingertips to massage your scalp and hair gently, in circular motions. This will help the circulation and also help to keep your hair shiny and smooth.

6. After rinsing away all the shampoo, run water over your hair for at least another half a minute (3 minutes is best) to ensure there are no remains of shampoo remaining in your hair, since this will cause a great deal of damage to your scalp.

7. When applying hair treatment products, do so just after you have washed your hair, so that your hair can absorb all the good stuff while it is half wet. This will be the best time for it to absorb nourishment.

8. NEVER go to bed with your hair wet! Hair that is half wet is most easily broken, and if you sleep during this time, your hair will be rubbing against each other, damaging your hair in the most terrible way.

9. Too much pressure may lead to hair loss! Relax... try some good relaxation methods such as soaking in a nice scented bath, listening to music, and eating healthy comfort foods such as strawberries and grapes.

10. Perming and coloring seriously damages your hair. Avoid it as much as possible. Also, when using hair setting products such as gel or putty, use as little as possible, because they hurt your scalp and hair. Wash them out thoroughly afterwards with a shampoo specially created for removing styling products.

I have curly hair that when scrunched will get very frizzy!! What do I do?

uh... don't scrunch it then

I have curly hair that when scrunched will get very frizzy!! What do I do?

Garnier has an anti-frizz serum that's great. Try that and also make sure your conditioning your hair good but not over doing it. Good luck

I have curly hair that when scrunched will get very frizzy!! What do I do?

Instead of scrunching it, you should buy some curl activating cream. You can use a small amount in your hair. Just rub it through. Once your done, grab 1" sections of your hair and wrap that section around your finger loosely. Grab the hair dryer and dry it for about 20 seconds, then do the next. Your hair will come out gorgeous, but your arms will get tired. You can also try to bobby pin your wet curls overnight. When you wake up in the morning your hair will by mostly dray and your curls should stay in all day.

I have curly hair that when scrunched will get very frizzy!! What do I do?

I have naturally curly hair and the same problem.

A diffuser is a must and Tresseme mousse in the black bottle (not the white) is awesome. I've found it works better than all of the expensive brands I've tried. Someone recommended it to me and I was shocked when I saw the results.

I have curly hair that when scrunched will get very frizzy!! What do I do?

sounds like you aren't replenshing your hair with any moisture. It is good that you air or cool dry, bug moisturizing is key of all hair types. especially frizz hair.

also, try not to use a comb or brush but seperate your curls with your fingers. I personally am not a fan of post gels and hair sprays because, either they make hair residue heavy or dry out you ringlets - viola - FRIZZ!

hope this helps.

I have curly hair that when scrunched will get very frizzy!! What do I do?

well, my hair is the same way, I use BED HEAD CONTROL FREAK but everyone's hair is different. If you do decide to try it, only use a small amount, if you use too much your hair will look greasy.
