Hey, curly hair question!?

Okay ,so i have really thick, curly, past shoulder length hair and when i straighten it it appears to be poofy. what are some products i can use to make it 'long and sleek

Hey, curly hair question!?

Mine is the EXACT same.

1. You may want to get it thinned out a little bit.

2. John Frieda Frizz Eaze hair serum (smooths it out)

3. YOu just need to straighten for a longer period of time. It will get flatter and smoother.

Hey, curly hair question!?

My hair really is exactly the same as yours. It takes me a long time to do it. My best advice to you really is to do as less as possible to it until it grows out. If you need any more help or advice with it or anything else please do not hesitate to ask me.

Hey, curly hair question!?

garniar frutis sleek and shine I love it and it smells so good

Hey, curly hair question!?

my daughters hair is just like yours, she also straightens her hair and uses MATRIX sleek look spray, her hair comes out very shiny and smooth. its to be used with an iron smoother.

Hey, curly hair question!?

I have curly hair and the only thing that can make it sleek and straight is my straightener. Its the one some salons use and i bought it at Walmart for $100. But i love it - my hair is straight and no puffyness in 10 minutes.

Hey, curly hair question!?

you can have it treated. they can straighten it out and then you'll just have to maintain it with conditioner.

Hey, curly hair question!?

if you go to the salon and ask them to thin it for you it should help out a lot. you could also consider getting it japanese straightened or something like that, you could still wear it curly just not as curly and it will be MUCH easier to do.

good luck=]

Hey, curly hair question!?

my daughter uses aussie products... and she straightens her hair daily. she uses he shampoo, cream rinse, and some no frizzy gel and uses some spray on conditioner...lol and 1 time a month she uses a hot oil treatment... she has very thick hair and curly. but everyone thinks its straight. child never leaves home with it curly

Hey, curly hair question!?

I use:

Silky Sexy Hair (a hair product)

I use a straightener

I use Pin Strait Hair by Herbal Essences (the hair spray, the conditionar, and the shampoo)

I use None of your Frizzness by Herbal Essences(the hair spray, the conditionar, and the shampoo)

and use a leave in treatment by MATRIX

Hope this helps %26lt;3333

Hey, curly hair question!?

Hey, curly hair question!?

after u wash your hair spray some Tresemme styling spray!

Hey, curly hair question!?

i would also vote for the John Fredia Frizz Ease Hair serum. just put a bit on a fter youve straightened it.

my hair also poofs out at the back and ive found that i have to straighten it in layers and do the back bit loads. then put the frizz serum on.

Hey, curly hair question!?

straighten it and use MATRIX sleek look spray. it comes out shiny and straight and looks like your hair is naturally straight. happy styling! =]

Hey, curly hair question!?

I think curly hair is beautiful. Let me just point out that when someone wants to look seductive or elegant the first style they opt for is curls! Be proud of what you've got. I suggest you read "Curly Girl: The Handbook" by Lorraine Massey. It'll change your way of thinking.

Okay 1 more curly hair question....... have any of you ever highlighted your hair?

I really want to try highlights for the first time but I am afraid this will really dry my hair out since curly hair is already dry. Has anyone had any good or bad experiences with this?

Okay 1 more curly hair question....... have any of you ever highlighted your hair?

Keep in mind that the more drastic the hair-color change, the more difficult the coloring job may be. Don't go more than two shades lighter.

At home, color should never be applied from the root to the end in one step. Color should be left on the roots for about 10 minutes, then extended to all of the hair for an additional 10 minutes.

If you highlight your curls at home, be sure to brush the highlight evenly and carefully from the root to the end before wrapping the hair in foil. If highlights are applied too quickly, the hair will not be properly covered. Most importantly, at least one-third of a curl has to be in the foil. "If a curl is fat or tight," Christo says, "and if not enough hair is picked up into the foil, the highlighting will not work properly." The right coloring techniques also affect how your highlights look. Be sure you understand what's needed should you color and highlight on your own.

When highlighting, don't do too much of the hair, and don't highlight near the hairline, Christo advises. It's best to highlight half an inch from the hairline, so if mistakes are made they won't show.

If you want to color or highlight at home to cut down on expensive salon visits, talk to your colorist, says Christo. Ask for advice on shades, brands and techniques. And, he adds, there's some good news about curly hair: It doesn't show the roots as much, so touchups are needed less often. You might need a touchup for single-process color every six to eight weeks. Highlights for single-process color can be redone every five to six months.

To avoid drying out your hair, shorten the application time. "Take the time from the package instructions and reduce that by one-third," Christo says. "Check the hair with a comb; if the color looks good, rinse it out. In the salon I never color for more than 20 minutes and I always achieve wonderful results."

A single teaspoon of olive oil added to a color or highlight right before applying it at home can create healthier conditions for the hair and scalp.

Finally, Christo says, lush curls and waves need attention and regular conditioning. "As long as the hair is healthy, a woman can achieve any color she desires." His salon recommends a silky cream called Deep Therapy Masque, which he applies for 8 to 10 minutes. You can also look for any deep-hydrating product that will keep color-treated hair healthy and full of body.

Okay 1 more curly hair question....... have any of you ever highlighted your hair?

i have rather curly hair and i have highlights in it,it seems to be working fine.

Okay 1 more curly hair question....... have any of you ever highlighted your hair?

I heard that if you have curly hair, that means that your brain is twisted, thats why your hair grows twisted

Okay 1 more curly hair question....... have any of you ever highlighted your hair?

I have curly hair and I have had it high lighted. Just get a good conditioner and you should be fine.

Okay 1 more curly hair question....... have any of you ever highlighted your hair?

i have curly hair- and im always colouring it - i have never had a problem with it being dry..just make sure you get it done professionally 1st time around

Okay 1 more curly hair question....... have any of you ever highlighted your hair?

The bleach will dry your hair some....Just remember to use a good conditioner regularly.

Okay 1 more curly hair question....... have any of you ever highlighted your hair?

I've done it, several times, and I've come to accept that my hair will look like brillo unless I condition it into submission, put all kinds of goo in it, and never be in humidity above 4%. This is either with or without highlights. I love to color my hair, so I try not to heat style, and get them professionally done, that should be less risk to your hair. Should be. Keep it trimmed, and good luck!

Okay 1 more curly hair question....... have any of you ever highlighted your hair?

Highlighting is actually better than dying ur hair..so yea.. highlight is good....

Curling ur hair makes ur hair dry? really? omg! Im actually thinking about doing that! *shucks*

Okay 1 more curly hair question....... have any of you ever highlighted your hair?

i have curly hair and i highlight it. but my secret is called "hair fixer" which is sold at sally's. It consists of 6 blue pills that you mix with a solution and apply to your hair. I swear if you folllow the box's instructions it works as a miracle

Okay 1 more curly hair question....... have any of you ever highlighted your hair?

Anytime you lighten your hair you run da risk of damaging it because da chemicals used to highlight work by stripping color off your hair. If you deep condition on a regular basis and go to someone who is a real colorist, you should be okay without drying or damaging your hair. But stay away from do it urself highlight kits and wannabe hairdressers. Better to pay da extra money and get it done right den 2 have ur hair lookn lyk da scarecrow in da Wiz! :)

Okay 1 more curly hair question....... have any of you ever highlighted your hair?

please go for it

then put your picture up on the yahoo 360 so we all can say it looks great..

How to get my curly hair to lay straight or down good?

i have long curly hair but cant wear it down with out frizz and i dont have the time to straighten it i need something i can do every morning and wear my hair down with out a lot of frizz and my hair is kind of damged and i want to get it back to normal and wear it down so pleas help and i need something i can buy from a sallys or small hair shop or something i can use from home like a remedie

How to get my curly hair to lay straight or down good?

First thing get it cut not short but the ends and in some layers so you can wear it either curly or straight and it won't be frizzy. Then buy frizz-ease serum and blow dry if you want it curly use a difuser and if you want it straight use a round brush and divide into sections while working through with the brush.

How to get my curly hair to lay straight or down good?

I used to brush mine while blow drying, but this could cause you more damage unless you get a serum to protect against heat damage. Also, Redken Straight hair gel might be of use to you.

I have curly hair also...and very thin (which sucks!) anyway, go to a beauty salong where they sell products. Buy Potion number 9 by Sebastian and Biosilk serum. Apply small amounts to damp hair and blow dry straight in medium size sections. I know you say you dont have the time but you won't have to do it everyday. Your blow dry will last about 1-2 days. On the weekends give your hair a break and apply alot of the Potion number 9 to your curls. Also, try using Dumb Blonde shampoo and conditioner. I've started using it and it does wonders! Good luck :)

Sideswept bangs w curly hair?? and other hair questions?

i have really curly hair and i want side swept bangs. any suggestions? should i or shouldn't i? also if i straighten my hair, how do i get it to go into very loose, piece waves? thanks =)

Sideswept bangs w curly hair?? and other hair questions?

Yes go for the sideswept bangs! Because they are easy to straighten and you could also blow dry. They aren't as much hassle as full bangs and make your hair look more styled.

To get loose waves, blowdry your hair then use a straightener on medium heat (if possible) and curl with them.

To do this, clamp them onto the top of your hair near the roots, twist and pull down.

If you can't alter the heat, just run your fingers through the waves once they are done.

You will probably want to use hairspray to keep it in place.

Sideswept bangs w curly hair?? and other hair questions?

all you have to Straighten is the bangs if you love your curly hair but if you hate i hate no answer

If you have curly hair please answer!! thanks?

do you straighten your hair with a flat iron? if so how often? and after you wash it again do you get your curls back or have you noticed you are loosing your curls, and they are getting flatter?

I want to straighten my hair sometimes, and i have curly hair, which i love! but sometimes i feel like looking different, but my fear is that i will eventually lose my curls!! HELP! and thank you =D

If you have curly hair please answer!! thanks?

your hair will always go back just dont burn it with the iron

If you have curly hair please answer!! thanks?

if you straighten it with a flat iron it will be stright but if you want your curls back just wash it

If you have curly hair please answer!! thanks?

first i blowdry my hair kinda straight, as straight as i can get it, and then use the flat iron to make it straight-straight. my curls are just as buxom as before i straightened it. Curls are beautiful. i want straight hair so badly, but it is just so normal and the curly hair is exotic.

If you have curly hair please answer!! thanks?

Yes I have curly hair however it is straightened with hair straightener. All of my life it has been thick curly and wavy. Before I had my hair straightened, I use flat iron every other 2-3 days after wash. No I didn't loose my curls AT ALL. You won't either.

Have fun experimenting new hairstyles!

If you have curly hair please answer!! thanks?

i have curly hair, and i do straighten it some what frequently...but trust me if you take it easy with the flat iron like maybe 2-3 times a week you really don't have to worry about losing your curl. but as a curly haired girl you should know that your curls will be a little less curlier in the winter because of the lack of humidity. but don't over do the straightening because that leads to split ends and then your curly hair will be quite frizzy. so don't sweat losing your curl and go for it !

If you have curly hair please answer!! thanks?

i straight it like 3 times or sometimes more in the week

If you have curly hair please answer!! thanks?

Well, I don't have naturally curly hair but my friend does and she straightens hers once or twice a week. After she washes it the curls look the same as they did before. Just make sure you spray your hair with a protectant spray (I love ion) before. It'll look great!

If you have curly hair please answer!! thanks?

No you will not loose your curls. I have curly hair and I straighten like only on the weekend b/c it takes so long but it does damage my hair. If it's going to rain i can not straighten it will just curl back up. I wish this was true that I would loose them but no only damage your hair.

If you have curly hair please answer!! thanks?

I have super curly hair that i adore. I also like strighting it sometimes. My advice is when you're strightinenig it always apply protection creams to it. And don't strighten it every day, my friend did that and her curls are gone now. When you strighten ur hair do it and don't shower for lik 3 days, it will last! Because too much heat will make ur hair frizzy. ALso always apply finishing serme when done with styling hair. Only strighten it 1 time evry month. Thats wat i do and my curls ROCK!!

If you have curly hair please answer!! thanks?

I have curly hair and do straighten it at least 3 times a week and have done it more often. The curl returns when I wash it. Your curls will return as long as you don't damage your hair and even then it will only be where you have damaged your hair. What grows from the scalp will be curly. Use a CHI flat iron and Framesi Options WIO Straightening Balm and you will not have any worries about damaging your hair and losing your curls. Happy Straightening.....

If you have curly hair please answer!! thanks?

if you have naturally curly hair like me they will porbably never go away! i straighten my hair pronbably 3 times a week. i wash it and the curls always come back. this have been happening for about about 5 years now so you have nothing to be scared of

If you have curly hair please answer!! thanks?

I have curly hair and I am sick of my hairstyle but maybe it'll work for u coz mines grown out a bit.

get layers and ONLY STRAIGHTEN a side fringe. It looks cool with curly hair at the back.

Wavy/curly hair?

Hi! I have wavy/curly hair to my mid back and it is not to thick or to thin. I would say it is more thick than thin......anyway what do you think would be a good straightener?

Wavy/curly hair?

First you should get some sort of heat spray to protect your hair, then you should blow it dry after you spray the protectant on (most beauty supply stores have cheap ones). Then you should purchase a ceramic style hair straightener from the drugstore (or ebay is an option) - look for one that has good ratings. This will run you $50 -$100 if you want a quality one that won't do too much damage. Then purchase a glosser to go over the top and voila! you have beautiful silky, straight hair.

Wavy/curly hair?

Chi... They are the best on the market :)

I have the same type of hair... It works wonders!! I also use the chi silk infusion this helps protect your hair when you use the flat iron :)

Wavy/curly hair?

ya i would go with chi or check out global beauty network inc that one works great to

Wavy/curly hair?

i had the chi hair straightener and i thought it was a waste of money people just buy them to show off. i have curly hair and bc of how long it takes to blow dry then straighten my hair i like to use the hair straightener that dries and straightens hair i think its made by conair it works the same as chi and saves you time

Wavy/curly hair?

Have a curly hair and want a curly hairstyle that suits you, get tips and advice here:

Somebody said when a white or other non-black person has curly hair, it's bc of some black gene

well this professor said the reason why the Irish people like the Spanish people often have naturally curly hair is bc of their small mix of north African in them? So, any time a white person has curly hair, it's bc the tiny bit of black blood they might have in them (even something as insignificant as less than one percent)? It sounds like thats what hes saying. I then said "well Irish people have a different kind of curly hair than black people though". It's true. Black people have nice curly hair and so do Irish, but they have different textures. He said it's bc of only the small amount of black blood in the Irish and thats why their curls are different in texture than black people. I know we all supposedly originated from Africa, but is curly hair really only a trait due to African genes? Ive seen plenty of Germans, Hispanics, etc with curly but "non-Afro" type hair.

Somebody said when a white or other non-black person has curly hair, it's bc of some black gene in them?

First, their is no such thing as a black gene. That is not true, hair texture depends on someone genetics. Just because you have curly hair doesn't mean you automatically have black in your family history. All races can have curly hair, genes and traits aren't exclusive to one race. The professor needs to go back to school instead of teaching.

Somebody said when a white or other non-black person has curly hair, it's bc of some black gene in them?

just becaue you have curly hair does'nt mean you goT a BLACK GENE AND IF YOU DO SO WHAT?

Somebody said when a white or other non-black person has curly hair, it's bc of some black gene in them?

thats total crap and its not true however it may be true to a specific genus of people, where in this case it would be the irish. im not saying it is true just that its possible

Somebody said when a white or other non-black person has curly hair, it's bc of some black gene in them?

So I guess if a white person has straight hair, it means they have Chinese in them. Your professor is working in the wrong profession.

Somebody said when a white or other non-black person has curly hair, it's bc of some black gene in them?

that professor is a fool

Somebody said when a white or other non-black person has curly hair, it's bc of some black gene in them?

I agree also if you're part jewish you have curly hair

Somebody said when a white or other non-black person has curly hair, it's bc of some black gene in them?

what? your professor is on the cheech and chong!

Somebody said when a white or other non-black person has curly hair, it's bc of some black gene in them?

Not true. Jewish people sometimes have "Jew-fros". They are the coolest thing ever. You might have a little of that in you. Curly doesn't mean you have black in you.

Somebody said when a white or other non-black person has curly hair, it's bc of some black gene in them?

Switch classes

Somebody said when a white or other non-black person has curly hair, it's bc of some black gene in them?

Actually, I agree with those who say so what. However, I find the subject of our heritage very interesting. If you are really interested on where your family has been and what your make-up is, you might have your DNA tested. With such an Ancestral test, you can find out where your family may have migrated from in the early days of the world.

There are two basic types of DNA tests available for genealogical testing:

mtDNA Tests - Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) is contained in the cytoplasm of the cell, rather than the nucleus. This type of DNA is passed by a mother to both male and female offspring without any mixing, so your mtDNA is the same as your mother's mtDNA, which is the same as her mother's mtDNA. mtDNA changes very slowly so it cannot determine close relationships as well as it can determine general relatedness. If two people have an exact match in their mtDNA, then there is a very good chance they share a common maternal ancestor, but it is hard to determine if this is a recent ancestor or one who lived hundreds of years ago. It is important to keep in mind with this test that a male's mtDNA comes only from his mother and is not passed on to his offspring.

Example: The DNA tests that identified the bodies of the Romanovs, the Russian imperial family, utilized mtDNA from a sample provided by Prince Philip, who shares the same maternal line from Queen Victoria.

Y Line Tests - More recently, the Y chromosome in the nuclear DNA is being used to establish family ties. The Y chromosomal DNA test (usually referred to as Y DNA or Y-Line DNA) is only available for males, since the Y chromosome is only passed down the male line from father to son. Tiny chemical markers on the Y chromosome create a distinctive pattern, known as a haplotype, that distinguishes one male lineage from another. Shared markers can indicate relatedness between two men, though not the exact degree of the relationship. Y chromosome testing is most often used by individuals with the same last name to learn if they share a common ancestor.

Example: The DNA tests supporting the probability that Thomas Jefferson fathered the last child of Sally Hemmings were based on Y-chromosome DNA samples from male descendants of Thomas Jefferson's paternal uncle, since there were no surviving male descendants from Jefferson's marriage.

Markers on both mtDNA and Y chromosome tests can also be used to determine an individual's haplogroup, a grouping of individuals with the same genetic characteristics. This test may provide you with interesting information about the deep ancestral lineage of your paternal and/or maternal lines.

I hope this helps and interests you as much as it does me.

Somebody said when a white or other non-black person has curly hair, it's bc of some black gene in them?

Its likely. Its a fact that blacks have migrated throughout the world, whether by choice or not.

This is also similar to black people with light colored eyes. They more then likely have some white or other race far back in their genealogical history.

And Jew is not an ethnicity, its a religion!

Somebody said when a white or other non-black person has curly hair, it's bc of some black gene in them?

I have heard a lot of stuff and have studied a lot of different things ... but never that ...

Help with growing out really curly hair (guy)?

I've always wanted to grow out my hair but in high school I was in jrotc and had to keep my hair cut within military regulations. Now tha tI've graduated I want to grow it out but its not looking too well. I've got unsightly curly hair and it looks like this right now

http://img68.imageshack.us/img68/4797/07...

I pretty much have to wear hats right now cause even flat ironing my hair doesn't help much.

So any tips on making this hair growing go a little more smoothly?

Help with growing out really curly hair (guy)?

man.. my hair was just as curly when I let it be (it's short now.. and I had it ironed out for Halloween in the picture in my avatar). You are just in the awkward phase right now.. there will be plenty of those along the way.. just start taking vitamins to try and get your hair to grow faster and make sure to get it trimmed at least every 6 months.. sooner if you getting lots of split ends.. other than that just relax and remember that even on the day you hate your curls the most.. the ladies love them :)

best thing is.. with curls as tight as we have.. you can just wash your hair.. throw a hint of product to keep it from frizzing.. and just go.. saves on a lot of time lol.. since it's going to look the same whether you work on it or not :)

Help with growing out really curly hair (guy)?

Dude, keep wearing a hat.

Help with growing out really curly hair (guy)?

You can't really grow out curly hair, it's just something that you are born with. There are no hair creams or shampoos you could use to make your hair straight. Wash your hair every morning, blow-dry your hair, and then straighten. Put a product in your hair that doesn't make your hair dry and helps the straightener from messing up your hair. Get a ceramic hair straightener because they make your hair less frizzy. And then get some wax and put it at the tips of your hair and pinch it. It makes it flair kinda so it's not completely flat.

When you get out the shower apply a small amount of conditioner to your damp hair! Run a brush through it and

How do you style your curly hair? What products do you use? Spill it people.

Putting Curly Hair Into Good Use.?

My cousin has really curly hair. She tells me that all she does is after wetting her hair, she just puts Loreal hair gel in it and lets it naturally dry. Because when she blow dries her hair, it gets really big and poofy and annoying.

So just put hair gel. That's it. And it looks really nice. People compliment her hair. It means a lot to her too especially since she hardly does a thing to it. Those are the best compliments. : }

Now, when I try to wear it curly again, the part of my hair that I permed wont get as curly as it used to. I'm sure I overprocessed it. I 've done several home perms to starighten my hair, but this one must've been too strong or left in too long. Any way to get my curls and waves back to how they were?

There is not too much you can do. Perm means permanent. All you can do is let you naturally curly hair grow back. My cousin has hair like that and she did the same thing as you, she has a spot at the top of her head that hasn't been the same since. Good Luck.

Run a brush through it and

shake head

let dry naturally

You are in that awkward stage right now but believe me in

a couple of months you will thank me!

I've done it for ten years no matter what some BS hair dresser

Frizzy curly hair?

my hair is naturally pretty curly and frizzy, and i straighten it pretty much every day because thats the only way i like it. if you have the same problem, what has worked best for you to get soft, smooth curls or waves?

Frizzy curly hair?

This has been my problem my whole life! The best thing I found is to trim my hair once a month, but first start by really cutting a lot of the dead ends off. As curly hair tends to have a lot of dry ends than I use a deep conditioner once a week to help with the dryness. Daily there are two good products, one Pantene gel for curly hair is pretty good, two Helen Curtis (an orange creme for curly hair only to be found at Sally's) works great, but is a little pricey for daily use. My hair is much better now!

Frizzy curly hair?

I generally use a mousse (sp?) that is made for curly hair. I also let it air-dry instead dry with a dryer.

Aussie 3 minute miracle deeep/john frieda frizz ease %26amp;brilliant (whatever color your hair is) does miracles.

Frizzy curly hair?

I, too have frizzy curly hair. I have given up trying to straighten it it- that was killing my hair! I use Aveda Sap Moss shampoo, Pantene conditioner and the saving grace of all is Finesse Mousse. Yep, cheap ol' Finesse. I love it, and it keeps all the frizz under control even in high humidity!

How do you use hair curlers on already curly hair for a looser curl?

I already have pretty curly hair but I am looking to get a looser curl. Will hair curlers work on my already curly hair, and if they will, how do I use them? Or is there an easier way?

How do you use hair curlers on already curly hair for a looser curl?

You have to use a roller that is larger the your natural curl. Roll your hair with lottabody setting lotion, and sit under a hair dryer.

If you have curly hair, dry and damaged..?

So it's naturally curly, but the hair is not coarse/really thick, so heat styling damages the ends very easily. I hardly straighten it yet I blow dry it dry (instead of air dry) everyday because it does look better that way. But after some time, the turn a lighter brown color, and there's dry breakage that's obvious when I do straigthen my hair. Are there any good professional products that will help with/prevent the damage? I don't wanna cut it since I want longer hair.

If you have curly hair, dry and damaged..?

if the ends are dry and and breaking you are going to have to cut them off. you can't repair that kind of damage. if you want long hair you really have to think about how much you need to straighten and blow dry. you should always spray it with a heat protective spray before hand and save it for special occasions put a treatment in it weekly and when you brush it always start at the very ends and work your way up taking out the tangles as you go, use ties with no metal bits, brush it a couple of times a day to prevent knots and put heaps of conditioner in the bottoms, and only shampoo the scalp not the ends of your hair. take a silica supplement too that helps. my hair is past my bum and in good condition with no dry, pale brittle ends and this is what i do. i have never used a hair dryer

If you have curly hair, dry and damaged..?

if you have split ends then you should trim it and it would grow faster and be way healthier

If you have curly hair, dry and damaged..?

I couldn't really recommend what products would be great for your hair because it might react differently to products...

what I can give you is a website with all the chemicals we overlook in hairproducts that damage our hair.

Even though this was on an african american website, it still applies to all hair...

so when you look at the products you use, and you find more than three of them on the label, you should know when to toss them...

Now, when I try to wear it curly again, the part of my hair that I permed wont get as curly as it used to. I'm sure I overprocessed it. I 've done several home perms to starighten my hair, but this one must've been too strong or left in too long. Any way to get my curls and waves back to how they were?

I have thick curly hair that I would like to cut into a graduated bob, but I don't know if it w

A graduated bob is also called an A line cut. It is where your hair is shorter in the back and longer in the front, usually without any layers. My hair is pretty long and has long layers now, but I am not sure if a graduated bob will work ok in my hair type! I don't want it to look like a 'shelf' or wedge cut. Any suggestions? I really would like to find a website that has pictures of someone with a curly graduated bob cut but I haven't found any.

I have thick curly hair that I would like to cut into a graduated bob, but I don't know if it will work right!

Talk to your Hair Stylist she would know best...Good Luck :D

I have thick curly hair that I would like to cut into a graduated bob, but I don't know if it will work right!

Well, try it and if it doesn't work, cut the rest short and grow it out again. I know my hair would look really silly that way, unless I used my gel that is simply called Straight and blew it dry with a round brush. I think Straight is made by Redkin.

I have thick curly hair that I would like to cut into a graduated bob, but I don't know if it will work right!

I would suggest a razor cut, which gradually layers as they go down. Visit a good beautician for info.Razored really doesn't look that layered only thinner.

No way! Thick curly hair looks terrible in a bob. Especially a graduated one. Unless you plan to straighten every day don't do it.

Such thick bushy, very very frizzy curly hair!!! HELP?

I have extremely curly and dry and very very frizzy hair and i could only braid it before after which i rebonded it.Now my old hair is back and it looks very very bushy.I want to control frizz and tame my hair so that at least a ponytail looks good.but to no avail..pantene leave in conditioner defines the curls but makes hair very very frizzy..loreal smoothing serum doesnt work..olive oil/sunsilk leave-in/coconut oil/ all either tame down the hair or make hair softer but the frizzes are still HORRIBLE..i have tried everything..please HELP(hair looks very nice when wet but disgusting when dry)

Such thick bushy, very very frizzy curly hair!!! HELP?

it is not a one product thing. the best thing is to use a shampoo and conditioner made for curly hair. then use a curl defining product to control it and an anti humectin for the frizz. kms makes a great curl control lotion. you may also want to try a pommade...aveda makes an anti humectin that works well. speak to the professional salon and ask them for their advise. many of them, like aveda will have tester sizes or will even take back the product if it does not work for you. why waste money on the drug store stuff that does not work? if the pantene leave in conditioner works, try adding the pommade or antihumectin. your hair is too coarse for the silicone serums.

Such thick bushy, very very frizzy curly hair!!! HELP?

i think you should try getting a new hair style that might help...it might reduce ur freeziness and thickness, then add layers to it...it will look prettier with highlights too...depending on your hair color! GOOD LUCK :)

Such thick bushy, very very frizzy curly hair!!! HELP?

use baby oil to bake it thin than straighten it

Such thick bushy, very very frizzy curly hair!!! HELP?

mm dont blow dry ur hair u could go to salon to get it done professionally..and u could buy straighener or curly tongs

Such thick bushy, very very frizzy curly hair!!! HELP?

You should try a relaxer. Go to a pro and get it done. I have a friend with hair like that and it works good. Then when you go ask what you should do with your hair everday. They know what is best for your hair.

Such thick bushy, very very frizzy curly hair!!! HELP?

Start by asking your hairstylist; he/she can tell you products to help tame your hair and keep it healthy at the same time. A flat iron will also help. I'd say salon products are your best bet; it's one of those things "you get what you pay for".Store products for serious hair issues is not a good idea. Pantene has wax in it. If you use a tiny bit you would be alright; but in this case I wouldn't suggest it. OR you could just leave it wet, use a hair gel for curly hair to keep your style locked in and then a finishing spray (lighter than hairspray).

Such thick bushy, very very frizzy curly hair!!! HELP?

SHAVE IT ALL OFF, go Bald, Start over, treat your scalp if you have dry skin or psoriasis.

Such thick bushy, very very frizzy curly hair!!! HELP?

you need to thin it out, get it layered relly well, then either try to wear it straight, by using straigtening shampoo conditioner and gel for straight hair then maybe blow dry it straight or use a straightener, also if you just et it tlayered, it will be easier to comb without tangling and you can use gel to tame frizzes, and it wont be as frizzy eithr

okai try BED HEAD leave in conditioner it will get rid of frizz and try sloly blowdrying it with a low heat hair dryer i have the same problem and just style it afterr

[Guys] Girls with Curly hair or straight hair?

Would you rather look at a girl with curly hair or a girl with straightened hair?

Straight hair!

I find most women like to have their hair stroked because it relaxes them. If there are curls, it doesn't run smoothly!

[Guys] Girls with Curly hair or straight hair?

Well everyone has their own personal preference so you can't exactly get a definite answer from the people here. My personal preference would be straight hair, the obvious reason would be for appearance sake, also it gives off a more confident air.

[Guys] Girls with Curly hair or straight hair?

An interesting observation I've made is, in my experience, girls with curly hair often wish for straight hair, and those with straight at some point wish it were curly. Ultimately, for me, I think both can be equally as beautiful.

Do not try and straighten your hair on your own. Go to a professional and get it done right. It can be done!

I know there's a question in there, but I can't quite make it out....I think you are asking about straightening your hair. Blowing your hair with a round brush and then using a flat iron can work, but if you have really difficult hair, I would go to a professional...you don't want to fry it!

OK, ACTUALLY U MADE NO SENSE IN UR QUESTIONS, BUT I AM GONA TRY TO ANSWER U

Try using a flat iron and you wash and blow dry your hair. Make sure the flat isn't a cheap one.

Straightening iron. or blow dry straight with a paddle brush or large round brush; frizz ease serum helps a lot when applied before styling.

I have a curly hair, is there any way that i can straight my hair with mess my hair you know like ruin it?

The flat iron does tend to dry your hair out if you use it on a dalily basis. If you intend on using one I've found the best thing to do is use a shampoo and conditioner that super moisturize your hair, and right after the shower use a leave in conditioner. If at all possible let your hair air dry as much as you can and blow dry what's still wet. They make a great blow dryer with a comb attachment that works great. Make sure your hair is TOTALLY dry or you risk hair damage. Then work in sections with the flat iron to get all the waves/curls out.

I have a curly hair, is there any way that i can straight my hair with mess my hair you know like ruin it?

Try a ceramic straightener. You can get a straightener that will work on damp hair also and start straightening your hair before it is dry. Don't burn it but slide it quickly over small sections. Be sure and use a good conditioner.

I have a curly hair, is there any way that i can straight my hair with mess my hair you know like ruin it?

don't chemically straighten your own hair!!! i have curly hair and whenever i want to wear it straight i make an appointment for a blow out. that way i'm not sweating and straining to straighten it myself! or have a friend help you!

I have a curly hair, is there any way that i can straight my hair with mess my hair you know like ruin it?

You can wash it. Then blow dry it. Then get a flat iron and flatin it.

Tip- If you want it to look like you got a wrap, you get a curling iron and add body to it. At the end, when it you are all done wrap it, spray it with oil sheen, and tie it up.

I have a curly hair, is there any way that i can straight my hair with mess my hair you know like ruin it?

flat iron, hun flat iron it may not last as long as u think, but it keeps it strait long enough for the guys to see it

I have a curly hair, is there any way that i can straight my hair with mess my hair you know like ruin it?

I don't know if you have access to a Wal-Mart store, but they sell this hair tool called "Wet to Straight" that will straighten curly hair. Just shampoo, towel dry, and use the straightener. I haven't ever used it, but have friends who have and say it works. But be careful, they said it makes a lot of steam if your hair is too wet and you might get burned.

I have a curly hair, is there any way that i can straight my hair with mess my hair you know like ruin it?

oooo well

um its hard not to damage it..

the ways to straighten hair is to either

Can you change curly hair to staright hair without a flatning iron?

My boyfriend has the most curly hair ever! One thing I've noticed is that its really hard for him to manage it. Every time he shampoos and conditions it, it puffs up into an ugly afro. Straight hair apparently has no disatvantages likewise. I was wondering if there is a way that I could help him change it without using a flatning iron? I know that he definitly wouldn't agree on a flatning iron.

Can you change curly hair to staright hair without a flatning iron?

No, have him get it cut very short.

Hair is straight, wavy or curly due to the shape of the follicles the hair grows from--there is no way to change it permanently.

I have dark curly hair, shoulder length and it gets frizzy. I need a new look?

My hair is naturaly curly, and its to my shoulders. My hair is uneven because I had bangs a year ago and it all hasnt caught up with the rest of it. My hair is also frizzyish, especially when it rains/snows.

Ive never went to the hairdresser, Ive always just had it shortened in the past..

I need a new look, any thoughts? Oh and it probably does matter that I am somewhat over weight and I am 24. My face is not round, its kind of ovalish.

THanks!

Have you ever tried straightening it, possiably go for a shorter Victoria Beckham haircut. I love her. Uhm, if you buy a straightner get a 100% ceramic, expensve but works GREAT!

I have dark curly hair, shoulder length and it gets frizzy. I need a new look?

Oh, doll, we have pretty much the same hair. I have, however discovered a way to keep it from frizzing. I dye my hair a lot, so I have to take good care of it so I deep condition it every time I wash and it makes my hair really soft and pretty, and hardly frizzy at all. If you don't have color-treated or damaged hair, just use it once a week. I've been using Aussie brand 3 minute deep conditioner. Find a really good hydrating shampoo as well. As for cutting or styling, getting your hair layered and framed to your face will look really nice. I have a chubby face and getting longer bangs with pieces that frame my face make me look older as well as thinning out my face a bit. When you go to a salon, check out the books they have and make a note of models with your face shape who have hairstyles you think would be cute and talk with your stylist.

Frizzy/curly hair?

I have this friend and she has wavy, curly, frizzish hair. That's the only way I can think to describe it.

It looks absoluely beautiful right after it's brushed but it takes all of like 5 minutes for it to get messy again even if she just sits there.

Also, she has tried straightening it but it didn't work. It just got messy again.

Help please

Frizzy/curly hair?

As someone else that has frizzy curly very unruly hair, I suggest using a detanglor when she brushes out her hair. I can also be sitting, and doing nothing and my hair will knot back up. I usually use detanglor and some type of Frizz ease serum, or shine laminator. Her hair could possibly be very dry. Make sure the shampoo she uses doesn't have alot of alchohal in it. Pantene, and Aussie do so those are no-no's. Hope I helped.

Frizzy/curly hair?

You left the question really really vague.

What has she done to her hair? Perm? Color? Hair Dryer?

Does she have split ends? Does she condition? Does she use any styling product(s)?

These are things one needs to know before answering.

Frizzy/curly hair?

I think she should try to work with her curl. She also need a serum for frizz control. I would try this style. They are called kinky twist. After a good wash and conditioner, add the anti-frizz serum. (You may have to help her with this.) You part the hair in small sections, add a good mousse or holding gel. That has a soft hold. Then plait the two pieces of hair. Once you have finished her whole head, allow the hair to dry. A blow dryer would help speed up the process. Once it has dried untwist the plaits. She should be left with more controlled curly strand. This style works well for any race that has curly hair. It much better than the bushy look.

Frizzy/curly hair?

I think a silicone-based frizz control serum would work well. Silicone coats the hair shaft, preventing frizziness from occuring. I recommend Simply Stylin Silk which is made of pure silicone. Most silicones contain alcohol or other fillers, and this other stuff lessens the effect you want from the silicone. Simply Stylin is pure silicone with a great fragrance, and it's good on all hair types. Plus, it adds a great shine and softness to the hair. I use it on all my clients, and they love the results. It's a new line and not easy to find in stores, so if your local Sally's doesn't have it look for their website.

Frizzy/curly hair?

- Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life!

- To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel, a leave in cream, and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blowdryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a microfiber hair turban (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).

-The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygenic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (aka sodium laureth sulfate or anything close to that). They dry out curly hair. Also you shouldn't brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof.

- Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. It will clean everything but super clingy silicones (cyclopentasiloxane and dimethicone are examples). Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse with cold/cool water.

- Do not brush/comb your hair after this point because it wil disturb the curl pattern (make sure you already have a part). It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair with your fingers. Make sure gel is evenly distributed everywhere in your hair. If you use too much you can always scrunch out the crunchy texture later.

- Use paper towels or an old t-shirt to gently scrunch some of the water out (generic towels can make hair frizz). You can either let your hair air dry or wait ten minutes and then use a blowdryer with a diffuser. Dry until your hair is almost dry, and then let air dry the last bit. Do not touch the hair while it is air drying or it will frizz!

- Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Desert Essence Organics Italian Red Grape Conditioner (found at health food/organic stores) or Activate Hydrating Conditioner (drugstore). The combo of products that I use daily is L'Oreal Out of Bed Weightless Texturizer (comes in a black-colored tub) and then Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Gel or Body Envy Gel, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites. The products I recommended are my personal favorites and contain no silicones.

- Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This may take a couple weeks to begin working. Before you decide to quit shampoo, do a final cleanse with shampoo and stop the use of any products with silicones in them. Hope this helps!

Frizzy/curly hair?

i use curl keeper from frizzoff.com. brushing curly hair makes it frizzy.

I hair is EXTREMELY curly and i need help!!?

- I really like the frizz-ease hair serum and garnier fructis products. Aussie Moist Conditioner works great too, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the website.

-This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least the website. Good luck!

I hair is EXTREMELY curly and i need help!!?

extremely curly! That is an overstatement.

I hair is EXTREMELY curly and i need help!!?

Hmmmm? Well, as you can tell, my hair is also curly but I don't know what type of curl you have such as kinky curly, natural curl, chemical curl.....it's hard to answer that.

If your hair is anything like mine, I recommend Fantasia or Bed Head products. I use them and they work great.

I hair is EXTREMELY curly and i need help!!?

Herbal Essences- Totally Twisted hair line

works wonderfully, easy to use ( just follow the instructions on the bottle), smells great, is sold everywhere, and cheap so if you don't like it, it wasn't a total waste of money.. like $3 for shampoo, $3 for conditoner ,$4 for the mousse, and $4 for the gel.....

I have a curly hair, is there any way that i can straight my hair with mess my hair you know like ruin it?

Do not try and straighten your hair on your own. Go to a professional and get it done right. It can be done!

I have a curly hair, is there any way that i can straight my hair with mess my hair you know like ruin it?

I know there's a question in there, but I can't quite make it out....I think you are asking about straightening your hair. Blowing your hair with a round brush and then using a flat iron can work, but if you have really difficult hair, I would go to a professional...you don't want to fry it!

I have a curly hair, is there any way that i can straight my hair with mess my hair you know like ruin it?

OK, ACTUALLY U MADE NO SENSE IN UR QUESTIONS, BUT I AM GONA TRY TO ANSWER U

IF U WANNA STRAIGHT THEM JUST BUY STRAIGHTENER

IF U WANNA MAKE THEM CURLY BUT NOT MESSY, THEN BUY THE GEL TO MAKE UR HAIR CURLY, AND KOOL

I DO THAT SUMTIMES

I have a curly hair, is there any way that i can straight my hair with mess my hair you know like ruin it?

yea you can talk to a heair dresser. I use this shampoo and conditioner called straight it comes in a neion green yellow botle then use a hair straightner

I have a curly hair, is there any way that i can straight my hair with mess my hair you know like ruin it?

Try using a flat iron and you wash and blow dry your hair. Make sure the flat isn't a cheap one.

I have a curly hair, is there any way that i can straight my hair with mess my hair you know like ruin it?

GIRL JUST USE A HAIR STRAIGHTENER AND BUY SOME VITAMIN OIL FOR YOUR HAIR TO KEEP IT SHINY AND HEALTHY, GO TO A BEAUTY SUPPLY STORE

I have a curly hair, is there any way that i can straight my hair with mess my hair you know like ruin it?

I have a curly hair, is there any way that i can straight my hair with mess my hair you know like ruin it?

I blow mine straight it normally takes two people to do it though. plus you can not get it wet.

Wavy/curly hair help?

i have wavy/curly hair tried a few things to make it look nice but always looks a mess i end up just straightening it but im fed up with having it straight. is there anythin that actually works?

thanks for your answers

Wavy/curly hair help?

I have the same sort of hair and it can be a handful - try using Charles Worthington's Shine Shine Glossing Spray, its only about 鎷? something from Boots or Superdrug, and it smells nice, is super easy to just spray on and flattens down the frizz and turns it into glossy curls!

Wavy/curly hair help?

if your hair is naturally curly....after you straighten it spray some water...(not a lot)...in your hair...it will look wavy but not too curly...thats how i do mine...

and try sunsilk leave in stuff..not the shampoo or conditioner...its in a green bottle and it works on me..

Wavy/curly hair help?

I love wavy hair - don't make it straight and boring

Wavy/curly hair help?

I wish I had curly hair :(

theres so many products out there to make your hair look pretty :)

go to sallys!

Wavy/curly hair help?

omg r u a guy?!!?!?

i personally think that is super hawt is you have that kinda hair

Girl!?!?!?

u r sooooo luckey .... i have wanted wavy sexy hair since like 4eva..... i am ((some how)) am blessed( as some ppl say) with jet black straight hair ( werid... cause somethimes it looks purple/blue)

anyway... either way u r soooooo lucky

Wavy/curly hair help?

Do you have layers? I've always had wavy hair, getting layers made it go properly curly when I left it to dry naturally, and I can straighten it too, so a few choices.

Either way, use a texturising gum or wax or a curl enhancing creme when your hair is damp, scrunch it into your hair and it will encourage the curl and stop it looking too frizzy and messy. Also try John Frieda Frizz Ease.

Wavy/curly hair help?

I have the same problem with my hair and one that I personally like is when you get out of the shower style your hair the way that you want and put moose in it or put moose in before you style it and then let it dry but keep moose on you cause it might start to come out for some reason i dont know how to full proof it yet.

Wavy/curly hair help?

yeah shave it offf !!!!!!!!!!!!

Wavy/curly hair help?

Marion! I have long wavy/curly hair sometimes i straighten it or at times I like to curl it. Not with curling irons but rollers. They are fantastic and there are so many different types of curl you can have. You should at least give them a try. Soft curls look really lovely.

Lollie you are so lucky to have that colour of hair it sounds gorgeous (I love black hair) I'm a Redhead!

Wavy/curly hair help?

Have you tried "Fresh Curls" By Redken? They have shampoo, conditioner and a curl booster. You can buy it from alot of hairdressers,it is expensive, about 鎷?.00 each but is brilliant and smells gorgeous.

Wavy/curly hair help?

i have cave woman hair and i use lee stafford poker straight shampoo, conditioner, heat protector, bling bling spray and dehumidifier! i know i sound like a walking advert but its great! and it smells like thierry mugler angel!

Wavy/curly hair help?

Get a layers cut...pull it back with colourful headbands....let it loose...the curls will come on their own....Good luck!

Wavy/curly hair help?

Try John Freidas Frizz Ease serum - all you have to in the morning is spritz with water, put a small amount of serum in your hands and run your fingers through your hair. This will cut out the 'frizz' and you can even define a few curls with it by just running your fingers over them.

I have had the same problem as you for years and have used Frizz Ease shampoos and conditioners too - now I wear it curly all the time and only go through the bother of straightening it for a change now and then. Plus straigtening wrecks your hair.

Good luck!

Wavy/curly hair help?

Have you tried the Sedusa? I saw it when I went to the Clothes Show Live got carried away when I saw the demonstration and bought it.

That said it really makes my hair look curly and it only takes 5 minutes. Way easier than tongs. It looks a bit mad .... a diffuser with loads of curly springs in. But you don't move it around, just put your hair in and leave it drying.

At the end you get curly hair that stays curly. Here's the website anyway.

Black curly hair in my burrito?

I found black curly hair in my burrito the other day and when I saw it I vimmitted all over my friends car and he once again called me a wetard and some other vulgar names and anyways that leads me into my question which is hows come I can get the vomit stains ou tta my shirt? Is it the thrown up salsa because it looks pretty non fresh.

Black curly hair in my burrito?

Black curly hair in my burrito?

I just barfed in my throat

Black curly hair in my burrito?

ugh you made me gag. haha pubritto. yuck. Vomit usually washes off in the wash.

Black curly hair in my burrito?

and wash them alot.

Black curly hair in my burrito?

Uh. i think you should throw the shirt away.

Black curly hair in my burrito?

Ewwwwwwww i was just about to eat!

Black curly hair in my burrito?

If it was me, I'd throw out the shirt.

If not, wash it several times.

Black curly hair in my burrito?

That's gross. Too much information dude.

Black curly hair in my burrito?

Long, curly hair?

I have long, curly hair, that gets in my face. I used to always wear it in a ponytail, but lately want to wear it down. How can I without looking like I'm from the 80's?

Long, curly hair?

@ one point in time had that same problem what u can do is take the hair that gets in your face and gei it down also you can get clips n put that hair in sum kind of twist another way that u can do it is by taking the top half of ur hair and tie it in 2 a ponytail n leve the other half out

Long, curly hair?

you should take the middle and pull it back and let the sides hang down, i hope you get an idea of what im saying

Long, curly hair?

If you want to get rid of the curls and make your hair more managable, I would definitely say to get your hair relaxed, which straightens your hair for a couple months at a time. It cost about 60 bucks and most salons will do it.

If you don't want your hair permantely straightned then I'd recommend buying a straightner or some gel or mousse that manages hair.

Long, curly hair?

Get a nice cut or maybe layered!!! Also straighting it and wear it with a hairband

I have SUPER frizzy curly hair..?

I have super frizzy curly hair, and I don't like the way it looks curly so I straighten it almost everyday but I know its really bad for your hair and i don't really have patience to blowdry it, blowdrying drives me insaneee! Is there anything else i can do that can help tame it better than ruining it by straightening?

I have SUPER frizzy curly hair..?

Use a moisturizing shampoo once a week.

Use a moisturizing conditioner every day.

After you step out the shower, apply a leave in conditioner w/ head upside down.

Then apply a curl mousse w/ head upside down.

Flip head up and spritz with a spray gel.

Products: Garnier Fructis Moisture Works Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner, Garnier Fructis Sleek %26amp; Shine Leave In Conditioning Creme, TIGI Catwalk Extra Strong Mousse, Redken Fresh Curls Spray Gel.

Good luck [:

I have SUPER frizzy curly hair..?

i have the same problem! well what i do....is put moose, gel, and hairspray in it when its wet...and then when it drys...its wont be frizzy! GOOD LUCK!

I have SUPER frizzy curly hair..?

scrunch your hair but use some defrizz stuff

john fredia has some really good products

and hairspray

hope this helps!!!

I have SUPER frizzy curly hair..?

Try spritzing your hair with a light hair spray when it's wet - and let it air dry for at least 30 min or more - then try blow drying it. Should not be frizzy. I do this with my hair every day. (It's similar to what you described.)

I have SUPER frizzy curly hair..?

Try using a deep conditioner in the shower, and then using a leave in conditioner while you brush. Also, I have found that braiding it immediately after I'm finished brushing it helps keep the frizz down immensly, and the curl is there, but tame.

I have SUPER frizzy curly hair..?

Trust me. My hair is the same way. If you don't already, i would reccommend getting a relaxer. They help take away the frizz in your hair (like the opposite of a perm) but your hair still curls. For styling i use John Frieda's Frizz Ease serum. It is so great not only for taming natural curls but also it helps protect your hair when you straighten it. For my curls i also use Sunsilk's 24/7 defrizz (green bottle) or tlc (pink bottle) creme.

I have SUPER frizzy curly hair..?

deep conditioner might help

I have SUPER frizzy curly hair..?

um try takeing a shower in the morining take gel and srunch it . then let it dry or put hair spray on it after the gel so itll harden faster

I have SUPER frizzy curly hair..?

i say try a shampoo, conditoner, and deep conditioner. the one that i use is sleek and shine. my hair isnt curly but i do get alot of fizz i think u should try it out.
