I want to know, in a step-by-step kind of way, washing, conditioning, product use, and flat ironing curly hair, and if possible, maintenance tips
. I am multicultural (black, white, latin) with medium length, deep wavy/curly that occasionally tangles. I've had success maintaining straight hair, but what do I need to do, or what am I doing wrong?
Thanks for answering!

I would just do your normal shampoo and conditioning routine but rinse in cold water.
When you get out of the shower, brush your hair and then wait until it dries.
Apply some heat-resistant gel or whatever it is. It keeps you hair much healthier.
Straighten in layers: you pull up most of your hair, leaving a bottom "layer" out of the ponytail. Straighten that. Release another layer from the ponytail/high bun. Straighten that. Continue until your a done with your entire head.
Whatever you do, don't get a relaxer. Those are really bad for your hair.

I Have very kinky hair and thought i could never straighten it but i did. First wash your hair and blow dry it COMPLETELY dry with a blow dryer. Next use hair serum on your hair roots to tip. Section it off a bit at a time and begin straighten it. DOnt try and do too much at once. Once you get it straight it will stay for a day or two. U must use a good porcelien flat iron though............a cheap one wont work.

Try going to a salon. It's better if they'd took care of your hair for you, or if not, maybe use a perm and wrapping lotion. Flat iron your hair with product Gold n' Hot or Conair ceramic technology flat irons, and a straightening comb. See, I hace very curly hair, so what i do first is use the straightening comb then I use the flat irons to smooth it out. Once every two weeks you should wrap your hair and sit under a hairdryer after it's been wrapped. Oh, and just use your regular shampoo, but maybe a deep conditioner before drying and striaghtening.
