Shampoo & conditioner recomindations for curly hair?

I am currently using herbal esences' hello hydration shampoo and that helped but now i need a shampoo specified for curly hair. i have heard that tigi's curls rock, redken for curly hair, and john freeda shampoo %26amp; conditioner for curly hair are really good products but i don't want to waste time by trying out all of 'em, do you guys have any recomindations?

TiGi products, but they're expensive.

The Frizz Ease line tends to work really well and is less

expensive.

I have found that VO5 shampoos have been great but I have used their basic moisturizing shampoos My hair gets pretty curly so it's more about controlling it than it is about getting it curl more. If a shampoo is drying or too moisturizing I get a mess to deal with. And it also seems that changing shampoos occasionally is important and that some shampoos work better in different seasons - I like the Frizz Ease better in summer.

I think as long as it's a well balanced shampoo, what matters more what you use afterwards... a leave in product. I can mess around with shampoo as long as I have a quality leave-in. TiGi Curls rock is pretty good. Paul Mitchell super clean styling gel has been the best and is an old standby. I've tried a lot and always end up back with the VO5 and the Paul Mitchell gel and the Frizz ease line and they're all reasonably priced. I also found that the Sunsilk line (replacement line of thermasilk) shampoo %26amp; conditioner are really good as well.

Marc Anthony line and Got2be line dried out my hair and made it feel coarse. Dove did awful things to it. I'm in my 40's and have been dealing with this for a long time - looking for products that don't damage curly hair and I wear my hair longer so it has a big impact on tidiness if it gets dried out.

Important as well is a good trim and if your hair is thick some thinning underlayers. Also, try twisting your hair when you get out of the shower and after putting in some light product - rasta style - it will loosen and curl nicely not savagely when it dries - a trick learned at Toni %26amp; Guy Salon in Paris about 8 years ago and a life saver since.

I have extremely curly hair. I use Garnier Fructis Fortifying Shampoo %26amp; Cream Conditioner. It helps keep it mosturized.

Usually a good lotion specifically for curls works better then any shampoo.
